Using her government office in a political capacity seems rather quaint, compared to the many ways others at the WH and federal agencies are using their government positions.
Punishment? hahahahahaha. Somebodyâs been smoking crack. Nobody in Trumpland gets âpunishedâ unless itâs the Big Cheeto doling out the humiliation.
Abusing the power of your office to benefit an American politician, rather than a Russian or a Qatari. Quaint, indeed!
Conway:
âYes I violated ethics and written rules. I donât care.â
Reporter:
âWe will continue to interview you for years to come. Our consequence-free platform welcomes you.â
Conway
âBe seeinâ ya.â
Since the person who decides on punishment for Hatch Act violations is the employeeâs department head, i.e. Donny himself, I donât think sheâs too worried about it.
As If
Never in the Trump World
âThe President and I have spoken about this,â Conway replied. âI have not made a comment on this at all and I wonât today.â
âActually, we both fell on the floor laughing about it.â
What Trump is going to do? Force her to ride naked down Pennsylvania Avenue a la Lady Godiva?
Donald Trump thinks the Hatch Act is something that happens to an egg to let the baby chicken out.
âIn an interview with Conway ThursdayâŚâ
All right, who left the cellar door unlocked?
Again!
Accccckkkk!
Okay, now I need to bathe in Listerine and Lysol.
By age 4, say, most people have grasped that some things are wrong in themselves, even if you want to do them. Itâs unhealthy, selfish, whatever. You get that itâs wrong. But Trump never reached that stage. He doesnât understand that a thing that helps him, a thing he wants, can also be wrong in itself and shouldnât be done. Itâs misguided to put this question to Conway as if he understands that when he doesnât. But itâs also wrong not to. Interesting times.
I know it goes without saying, but it needs to be said, nonetheless, âIf this had happened during a Democratic administration, the Republican minority would have applied so much pressure that Conway would be forced to resign, if the Democratic president hadnât already removed her.â
Why is she allowed to keep her job?
This, of course, is true.
This canât be intended as a real question.
There was a great exchange on âThe Wireâ where one character complains that things werenât a certain way in the old days. A slightly wiser character replies, âWell, now, thing about the old days, they the old days.â As you say, it goes without saying. But it doesnât hurt to really soak in what incredible hypocrites they were and are. Only a few more months until we can vote 'em out.
Itâs a question born of frustration. Obviously, the âliberalâ media is not so interested in amplifying the voices of the Democratic party. But the real problem is that there is no voice of the Democratic party in this, or so many other cases like it. The outrage of this presidency is multiple orders of magnitude greater than any faults of the Obama administration, yet Republicans - even in the minority - were willing and able to apply so much pressure. Wtf is the matter with my party?
âSo no punishment given?â Hemmer probed.
Her punishment is having to be who she is.
Iâd sooner die than face such harsh punishment.
Thatâs not true!
I could tell that it was a falsehood after reading just the first three words.
itâs ok â I assumed the question was actually factitious. I only intended to highlight that fact.
