Discussion: Conway To Chris Cuomo: 'CNN Interfered In The Election Daily'

Shameless.

We’ve all heard her say some ridiculous things but this interview takes the cake.

She’s a special kind of nonsense.

I understand a network wanting to give the administration an opportunity to present their positions and stories. But where the hell is the imperative to bring on a person that consistently lies and is always non-responsive to questions asked? Conway has earned being blackballed by responsible media outlets. And having her on calls in to question their right to call themselves “responsible”.

Dear media:

When someone has repeatedly used your platform to spread lies and propaganda, STOP BRINGING THEM ON. Otherwise, it looks like you are hypocritically doing it simply for the ratings and to raise outrage in your viewers.

Conway To Chris Cuomo: ‘CNN Interfered In The Election Daily’

I thought she was going to make a sophisticated point about how CNN’s live broadcasting of entire Trump rallys amounted to in-kind financial contributions to the Trump campaign totaling hundreds of millions of dollars, and that therefore, CNN has blood on its hands, too.

Silly me.

Conway continues to wax philosophic in her alternative universe.

Shirt version, Who you gonna believe, us, or the lyin’ facts.

This might inspire a new Trump harangue: CNN, MSNBC, WaPo and the NYTimes colluded with Russia.

Except she’s not anymore, there are plenty KAC clones/wannabes out there complaining about unfair treatment of Trump. Their dodging and deflecting just like KAC.

I wonder when they have her on they say “Hey you’ve got 2 minutes to say what you want and then you have to answer questions, if you don’t answer questions then we cut you off.”
Another way is to not ask her about Trump, but ask her what she is doing/working on at the White House? She’s on these shows to still be the Trump cheerleader, so make her talk about herself which will piss off Trump.

Geez.Quiet panic in the streets. She has no idea on how to proceed. She is falling back on attack and deflection. Her bag of tricks is almost empty.

Can’t argue that too much. But in this case, the interview allowed KAC to harm herself in the process.

Years ago we quietly passed the point at which partisanship is so rabid that outrageous, obvious lying goes unpunished by GOP voters, and the response is just whataboutism. This wasn’t an exercise in gathering information, it was just an effort to get this conscienceless propagandist to simply admit the bleeding obvious. KAC will be gone when Trump goes, but those voters–that’ll take a very long time to fix.

Cry me a river. Cuomo and all the other talking heads know perfectly well what Conway is and what she is going to do when they bring her on their show. They are co-conspirators in the ratings and bamboozle game.

There is a fundamental problem with for-profit News media and we’re seeing it play out in real time.

NB: Pre-Primary News Coverage of the 2016 Presidential Race: Trump’s Rise, Sanders’ Emergence, Clinton’s Struggle

The report shows that during the year 2015, major news outlets covered Donald Trump in a way that was unusual given his low initial polling numbers—a high volume of media coverage preceded Trump’s rise in the polls. Trump’s coverage was positive in tone—he received far more “good press” than “bad press.” The volume and tone of the coverage helped propel Trump to the top of Republican polls.

The Democratic race in 2015 received less than half the coverage of the Republican race. Bernie Sanders’ campaign was largely ignored in the early months but, as it began to get coverage, it was overwhelmingly positive in tone. Sanders’ coverage in 2015 was the most favorable of any of the top candidates, Republican or Democratic. For her part, Hillary Clinton had by far the most negative coverage of any candidate. In 11 of the 12 months, her “bad news” outpaced her “good news,” usually by a wide margin, contributing to the increase in her unfavorable poll ratings in 2015.

The Shorenstein Center study is based on an analysis of thousands of news statements by CBS, Fox, the Los Angeles Times, NBC, The New York Times, USA Today, The Wall Street Journal, and The Washington Post. The study’s data were provided by Media Tenor, a firm that specializes in the content analysis of news coverage.

Seriously? Is CNN that desperate? Anderson Cooper won’t talk to her, since that “incident.”

Neither will Tapper, since his little run in:

I’ve often wondered how people this deranged lay their heads down on a pillow and get a good night’s sleep. How do you function when you have no conscience?
