I was trying to remember the last time an Obama Administration person spoke for the Department of Justice or the Attorney General? I⌠canât⌠seem to recall one.
Expect a lot of fawning and over the top, nauseating, hagiographic testimonials to Sessions from the GOP members. Also expect lots of special pleadings, âno true Scotsmanâ violations, Margaret Dumont style pearl clutching and red herrings.
As for Sessions, he wonât say anything informative. Heâll talk a lot, though.
Too coherent â an obvious forgery.
Is this the official WhIte House position leak?
Expect his former GOP colleagues in the senate to bring out the rebel flags and give him a hearty welcome.
Share what he knowsâŚbased on his past, this wonât take long. Fully expect âI donât recallââŚ
Whenever I see a headline that says that Conway is making some silly, unlikely-to-be-true statement on behalf of someone in the administration⌠My first thought is that itâs Tim Conway attempting some new comedy routine.
Alas, itâs nearly always Kellyanne.
Heâll have a triumph down the Mall for doing the absolute minimum required.
Perjury⌠Sessions really does know PerjuryâŚ
I do hope KKKeebler Elf brings along the formerly respected Rod Rosenstein so the committee can ask both of them about their involvement in Comeyâs firing.
Well, thanks for that, um, assurance Kelly Anne. I feel much better now, knowing that Rs have our best interests at heart.
âExpect his former GOP colleagues in the senate to bring out the rebel flags and give him a hearty welcome.â
A âRebel Yellâ seems appropriate.
During his testimony Thursday, Comey said that FBI officials were âconvincedâ Sessions would recuse himself from Trump campaign-related matters weeks before the attorney general did so.
Did Comey say Sessions would recuse himself on campaign related matters or Russia related? I thought Russia, but could remember wrong. Thereâs a big difference. I think Sessions is claiming his recusal was just about campaign in retrospect so he can justify meddling in Russia investigation.
The GOP is great at circling the wagons. Theyâll protect Sessions and sow doubt and confusion sufficient to keep him in office. Thatâs their goal. They donât care if he colluded with Russia. They donât care if he has engaged in traitorous behavior. They donât care if three quarters of the country hates him. They need him at DOJ for the kleptocracy.
Jeffie gonna share what he knows?
That may be the shortest hearing in Congressional history.
Is there any way we can give Al Franken another shot at Sessions?
I got a traffic ticket years ago and I cooperated in a similar way by paying my fine. I hesitate to say âcooperate,â though, for myself or Sessions, because if not cooperating isnât an option you can choose then going along with the program isnât what you can call real cooperation.
Hereâs another item that I too have been noticing.
I wonder if this comes up tomorrow.
