Donald Trump has openly speculated in front of others about dating 10 and 15 year old girls once they come of age. A father, upon hearing another adult talk about his daughter that way in front of others, might be tempted to punch him in the nose. A mother would be troubled and abhorred. At minimum their opinion of the person would fall to a level they wouldn't ask the man to mow their lawn, let alone be their President. Yeah. The self-aware don’t fall into Freudian Slips. Her subconscious supplied her true estimate of the number of Trump supporters who aren’t enraged bigots there. And even when she corrected herself, she went with “millions” instead of “tens of millions.”

Media have a nightly story to run on a Trump rally. If the producer wants to include the fact a rally was attended by disreputable, toxic people then it’ll be the person most fitting of that label they feature. The squeakiest wheel gets the grease. That only one person gets network mention hardly means they were the sole idiot in attendance. They were just the worst of several dozen vying for that distinction.

She is fully aware of the truth – but she is essentially amoral – a mercenary. She’ll say and do whatever she has to bolster her brand – which is for now, is still Trump. However, when he loses, she will fully shift to promoting herself to the next wannabe demagogue, touting how well the campaign did under her guidance, despite Trump’s flaws.
