Discussion: Conway Implies Comedians Making Fun Of Religion To Blame For Violence At Worship Centers

Atheist though I may be, there are days when I almost wish I believed in a divinity, just so I could also believe that the Conways of this world would get the eternal punishment they so deserve.

Seems legit. Dick Van Dyke started the Viet Nam war after all.

You don’t say …

George Carlin’s “Seven Words” does a stellar job of describing public reaction to the Trump Administration.

Lenny Bruce is laughing from the hear after.

What do you expect, KAC, when we have a PPresident who is “funny like a clown”?

Hey, KC! Comedians have been constantly and rightfully making fun of you since you crawled out from under your rock to work for Cruz and Trump, but I haven’t heard reports of you being sent a pipe bomb or being shot by an AR-15. I guess you are protected by all that whiteness.

Blame everything but the guns and stochastic terrorism, as usual. Just like blaming too many doors at the high school and comic books. Same shit as always because they keep getting away with their stupid excuses.

Unless this is their attempt to try to get away with curtailing First Amendment rights.

Must be those Seinfeld reruns on late night that none other than Steve Bannon receives royalties from.

Well that is just more flag wrapping isn’t it? “Our reprehensible words aren’t responsible for attacks in churches, mosques, and synagogues, it is the (un)funny words that are responsible. We can’t be at fault, we LOVE religion!”

KAC … seek help … seriously - find a stable understanding compassionate group of mental health professionals, some ethics and philosophy scholars and an ecumenical group of sinscere theologians… and listen to them…
Ah … but they are not going to say what you want to hear … they are not going to point angry fingers of blame …

I have a sneaking suspicion she’s obliquely calling out Kimmel, Colbert and Meyers, none of whom, by the way, have made fun of religion. This is just a pretext for ramping up a campaign to silence late night comedians. Indeed, they won’t be happy until one (or all) of them is attacked.

These people get scarier by the day.

BTW I didn’t listen to the clip. My stomach is too weak for such things.

Whenever she opens her mouth all I can hear is “Cornholio!”

What utter bullshit! Poking fun at the foolishness of religion is a far cry from encouraging violence against believers.

MAGAts will say anything.

Shouldn’t she be getting ready for her big day on Wednesday?

So a President’s words don’t matter, but a comedian’s does? Is this some sort of 10-dimensional joke I’m not getting?

Guess she ought to know:
