Putin is proud of the way trump is now handling veterans.
As an anonymous commenter put it: Trump and his White House coterie would âfuck up a cup of coffeeâ.
âThe law allows the President what Politico characterized as âbroad authorityâ to name a successor if an federal agency head âdies, resigns, or is otherwise unable to perform the functions and duties of the office.ââ
I am no fan of Shulkin, and I only want the best for our vets, but anything to shove a shiv in Trumpâs rhetorical ribs is fine by me.
Is Shulkin calling Trump a liar? Now THAT would be a first.
Given the scathing IG report on Shulkinâs travel to Europe, I admire his willingness to stand up and fight back. But I think heâs on weak ground.
George Papadoupulous: " Did someone mention me ?"
This is going to end up like 10 Harriet Miers controversies boiled down into one and drive home (I know, I know, Iâm toxically optimistic) like nothing else the frivolous, whatever-okay-you nature of this hominidâs hiring practices. And all with the welfare at stake of the nationâs veterans, his favorite object of hypocritical admiration.
They couldnât pour piss out of a boot if the instructions were on the sole.
âThe Lord has risen, indeedâ, right bacatcha.
Couldnât organize a two-car funeral.
Iâm sure heâd have mentioned the Resurrection but actually very few people know Easter is associated with that.
That smells authentic. I like the quotes, where he quotes who? F&F? John Barron?
Then why does this guy still have his job? Not whataboutism, but rather arbitrary and capriciousness.
Trumplican Ron Johnson was just on Meet the Press describing the VA system as a âgovernment single payer healthcare that has failed.â Trumplicans want to dismember the VA healthcare system just as they want to destroy universal healthcare.
Itâs about choclolate eggs and âbunnies all the way downâ.
peeps
For the first time, I think weâre starting to see Trump pay a political price for his cabinet. Starting with Betsyâs performance on 60 Minutes (which Kate McKinnon brilliantly mocked on SNL), weâve seen more focus on corruption on Shulkin (his European junket looks pretty tame given everything else weâve seen), Pruitt, Carson, Mnuchin. The additional stories about incompetent, disrespectful, and folks with shady backgrounds (arrest records, abuse etc.) are also coming out. People are now finally starting to connect the bad policies of these various departments with the corruption. This administration is a far less competent and more openly hostile and racist version of the Bush Administration. This gives our candidates a number of targets to focus on, especially in red states. McCaskill, for example, could run against Betsy DeVos in MO and get a lot of traction.
If only that could be grounds for impeachment.
I thought part of being in the cabinet was you had a standing signed âletter of resignationâ filed with the Chief of Staff, ready to be used whenever the President wantedâŚ? Even in an organized criminal organization like the Trump Executive Branch, there would be someone around who would know that.
When someone wants to resign, Trump wonât let them do it and fires them instead. When they want to stay, he wonât let them and fires them. Donald has to be the center of attention in any controversy. He creates controversies all the time just for that reason.
