Is it just because an election is coming up in six months that the right wing nut jobs are running around with their hair on fire more than usual lately? I’ve never seen anything quite like it, and I’m not a young person.

And don’t get caught and become a POW unless your daddy is an admiral…

“unkempt beard”

Cheap shot!!! The beard, in photo, appears clean and brushed…I believe there is a religious prohibition against cutting the growth but I’m not positive.
The right wing loonies have a real knack for inciting Salem witch trials among some in the gullible Village with a spray of clustered soundbites.

I lived in ID for a couple of years, and much of it is high desert,
mountainous terrain - much like Afghanistan. And, the people are
generally hardy, friendly, independent and hard working, even
those on the far right.

Now the GOP doesn’t just hate POWs, they hate the families od POWs.

Right-wing ASS-HOLES don’t seem to be able to keep their ASSHOLE opinion out of anyone’s business, no matter how much not their business it is.

Why is it that when the Republican party has something to say, all I ever think is: “what a bunch of ASS-HOLES.”

So we only rescue the POWs that we like?

I guess I’m glad these people still shock me every time they take their hatred to a new level. I’d hate to get used to that.

Right wing hate is like Spring mountain runoff (except it lasts all year). It can’t be eliminated, only diverted.

This is a joke, right? We all thought in 2011 that we’d seen the worst of it. Obama said, “Surely their fever will break after 2012 and I’m not up for a 3rd term.”

Nope. What has infected the GOP is a noxious kind of disease that continually deepens its corruption of the brain. Kinda like a Justin Beiber song.

i bet the republican senators from idaho are so conflicted right now… it’s going to be interesting to see how the idaho citizens react to this. will they rally around the family; or chase them out of the state…

I love how the Pres has the Repubs on the ropes by simply doing the right thing and the Repubs won’t even know it until the 2014 election results. He doesn’t even have to play multidimensional chess with them anymore, tumbling over dominoes is doing just fine.

I REALLY hope the good people of ID remember what’s happening to one of their residents come election day. Any political choice to be made should be obvious.

It’s time to clearly call these traitors out. It’s like the neighbor here who had a big sign in the front yard, “Support Our President and Our Troops,” until Obama’s election, at which point he turned traitor and took it down. By their own values, these people should deport themselves.

So, now the right is attacking a POW’s father and using that as some kind of justification for leaving him to die at the hands of the Taliban. The twitter account of a solider’s parent is, I guess, now the litmus test for deciding whether or not to leave them behind. What’s next, will they be attacking Great Granny Bergdahl for the curious wording of the Bake Sale fliers she posted at the BINGO hall? This is beyond crazy, even for the GOP.

For color commentary, we go now to Larry Craig tap-dancing in a Boise Airport bathroom stall.

I’ve gotta say that I saw this coming a couple of days ago when I was reading the NYT article about the Bergdahls; the beard and the Arabic blessing was sure to evoke a Pavlovian response from these conservative wankers. If nothing else, they are completely predictable in their mindless conformity as they have now declared the Bergdahls to be officially: “People not like us.”
