Discussion: Conservative USA Today Columnist On Charlotte Protesters: ‘Run Them Down’

Lose his twitter account? He should be fired from his job as tenured professor at a public university.
We don’t want taxpayer money supporting people who incite murder!
I hope UTenn is deluged with complaints over Reynold’s remarks.

… heh, indeedy.

It’s right there in the Constitution. You have the right to free speech and assembly, unless you inconvenience me, and then I can kill you.

I forget, perhaps a conservative can remind me: what part of the Bible says its OK to run down women and children in the streets? Is it Two Corinthians?

This guy is from my town and went to high school here. He’s fairly sharp on nano-technology issues, but is a pretentious jackass on political matters. This is the original “instapundit” who used to circulate neo-con pro-Iraq War blogs with “Indeed”. He regularly confuses contrarianism with intelligence. Note that his comment was not in response to actual rioting in the street, but to peaceful protest along a highway. I guess he could only hold back his inner redneck so far.

White people can’t incite riots. It is in the Trump Constitution.

So when ISIS encourages people on the Internet to drive trucks through crowds in France they are terrorists, but when a white law professor does it he’s a … conservative?

The man is advocating terrorism, and should be indicted for the same.

Ah, Twitter–the outlet that’s always there for you when yelling at the TV is too restrained and adult.

I’m sure U. Tenn. will get around to suspending him as soon as they finish investigating Peyton Manning’s sexual harassment of the football team’s trainer.

There were reports of violence in those highway protests—people having their windshields smashed, trucks that stopped being opened up and looted—but that in no way justifies Reynolds’ idiocy.

“Glenn Reynolds, a conservative USA Today columnist and University of Tennessee law professor,”

I believe that back in the day, he was a Con Law Professor at Trump University.

I think it would be really nice if somebody would run over Glenn Reynold’s creepy smug mug, then back up and do it again. I would hope that the University of Tennessee would fire him for hate speech and inciting violence, but they probably won’t. What kind of law does he teach, anyway, since he displays open contempt and disregard for the rule of law?

Just more “compassionate conservatism”. Nothing to see here, folks – move along now.

When protests happen in Middle East, these guys encourage it and want to invade give birth to Arabian Spring. When it happens at home BLM or Occupy Wall Street etc, same folks want to run them down.

Its also worth noting that this moron was/is an unabashed supporter of George W Bush. He was especially vocal in his support as the job losses mounted in Dubya’s last days.

Did you know that our brave servicemen and women fought and died for the right of the Tea Party to protest, but not for the right of Black Lives Matter to protest?
You learn something every day from the GOP.

Glenn Reynolds, the Ole Perfesser" has had a national audience for his right-wing garbage on USA Today for years.

He is a liar, a fascist, and a vicious right-wing thug in Perfesser’s clothing. I hope he gets a smack-down for this one that he won’t soon forget

But no one should be at all surprised: This is who he really is.

Besides, I bet he gets a call to be in Trump’s Cabinet, as the Commander in Charge of Solving the “Black Problem”.

Ah, Glenn Reynolds. There’s a name I haven’t heard in years. I hadn’t realized how well off I had been for so long until now.

Forthcoming Victim Statement by Reynolds: People are so mean! Why are they saying I should lose my job just for saying people should lose their lives? It’s not fair!
