I thought it said “Free Bacon.”

Me too. But without knowing anything about it I assume that they’re evil just because of an association with any sort of organization that would call itself “Center for American Freedom”.

I could be wrong, but it’s setting off my Orwell Alarms bigtime.

You’re right.
Neocon propaganda rag bought and paid for.

They’re “true believers” all right.

And now the Center for American Freedom has let 'em out of their cells to run amok.

Thanks, CAF. Was the aluminum-foil bill gettin’ too big?

Right alongside The New York Times and The Washington Post? Wow, you guys are truly delusional.

Maybe if they changed their name to the Washington! Free (Kevin) Bacon! they might find themselves along side the likes of The Onion.

They’re Yahoos, if you ask me.

“What would happen, though, if a website covered the left in the same way that the left covers the right?”

I believe it was Truman who said,

“When you stop telling lies about us, we’ll stop telling the truth about you.”

Center for American Freedom is Koch-funded. This move to wean the Washington Free Beacon from its sponsorship seems only an attempt to add plausible deniability to the link. From what I understand Goldfarb and Continetti themselves are still on the Koch payroll.

Their name continues a conservative trend of naming an organization after a liberal counterpart to mislead.
This name is an obvious take-off the Center for American Progress – a liberal think tank founded by some Clinton administration figures which is affiliated with the fine Think Progress news website.
There is also a RW wingnut group known as ACLF – can’t remember the full name – which seems like a conservative take-off of the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU).
A couple years ago Rachel Maddow did a show about a bunch of these me-too conservative groups that sprang up with names somilar to more-established well known liberal groups. In most of these cases, it seems they were so named to confuse and to capitalize on the good following and reputation of their better-known liberal counterparts.
But then again, I guess grifters gotta grift.

Me too. If I’d known there was free bacon, naw, not even for free bacon.

So basically they are just looking for a new sugar daddy.

Kate Upton in a bikini, licking a bomb pop, because freedom. God Bless America.

The what?

“We’re true believers, but we’re also troublemakers " … “We get up every day and say, how do we cause trouble?”

Just what the world needs now is more trouble. No solutions from “true believers”, not exactly a ringing endorsement for the survival of mankind.

These right wing nutjobs sound exactly like the Taliban.
