In a word, continuity.

‘Let’s look at all the rules. Let’s figure out how we turn this thing the right way so that ideas flow from up from the bottom — from our constituents through the representatives and through the committee process and then on the floor.’

But only the constituents of the most conservative faction get to be represented. From the state that has brought gerrymandering to a high art. Bah.

The part of the conversation that was confidential was the word before 'NO" … it was “F**K”.

Is Himmler Hispanic (Flores)? Maybe his original name was Blumen.

In his defense, I like the part where he’s none of the other candidates.

He’s not necessarily better than Chaffetz or Ryan or McCarthy or Gowdy or Cheney, but he’s not them, and I respect that.

And he is qualified to lead the House of Representatives because . . . ?

Because on day 1, he will have absolutely no fucking clue what to do, and no ability to accomplish anything he can think of to do. Which apparently is precisely what Republicans are looking for in a Speaker.

So tell me in 50 words or less (Preferably less) why this Tex-ass should be third in line for the Presidency?
He’s no more “qualified” (not that any of them are, mind you) than ex-Squeaker Boo-hoo Merlot.

Candidacies like this take some pressure off of Ryan, though. He can claim experience in the private sector, blah blah. But he’ll still get swallowed alive when it comes to budget, raising the debt ceiling, etc. Just a couple of months away…
