In his interview with the Tribune, Flores suggested that Rep. Jason Chaffetz (R-UT), another candidate for speaker, was already too connected to the current leadership hierarchy for the position, as House Republicans need someone who “hasn’t been in leadership" before, Flores said.
“And when I get in an airplane, I don’t want a pilot who has clocked all sorts of hours flying. I want someone who has never set foot in a plane flying the thing!”

Well hay’ell. If Screwy Louie will not run and Carnival Cruz cannot run then Flores is the next best Tejan for the job. That is unless THE Dick Cheney is not granted deferments and is drated as Speaker.

What kind of cognitive disconnect must you have to be able to utter this sentence:
“I don’t want to share private conversations, but he was still a ‘no’ as of yesterday when I spoke to him,”
The first part of the sentence says he doesn’t want to share and then he immediately shares what he just said he didn’t want to share. What kind of idoits can listen and pretend to understand this Orwellian doublespeak? (Oh George, you were more prophetic then we thought. You were just off by a several decades.)

Less than 5 years in the House. No committee leadership. Introduced one bill to cede regulation of fracking to the states, which passed but appears to have died. No military experience. Virtually no leadership experience anywhere.
And he is qualified to lead the House of Representatives because . . . ?
