Discussion for article #224237

If this is their best hope to knock Hillary out of the running they’re in for a huge disappointment.

…but they’ll be certain of victory up until about 9PM EST on election day.

The Free Beacon is Bill Kristol’s neocon version of ThinkProgress and TPM.
They are as adept at this as they are at comedy.

So one more rightwing rag is just another political arm of the RNC…I can’t say I’m surprised.

Opposition-research as it relates to the former First Lady of Arkansas and the U.S., Senator, and Secretary of State has always been a full-blown cottage industry. I expect these wingnuts will continue their obsession with the politics of personal destruction as far as the eye can see, well into the future, up until election day 2016. Same as it ever was. The difference is…most of us these days recognize it for what it is…pure hatred of all things Clinton and the Democratic Party. Real substance isn’t their forte. Actually, if Ms. Clinton plays it wisely, there’s some value in that type of opposition politically. I just hope she doesn’t try to co-opt it in the end. It’s politically advantageous to have an unhinged adversary to some degree. Irrationality becomes their own downfall.

Or until Ohio results come in.

Isn’t this the political version of premature ejaculation? The primary electioneering doesn’t even beging for another six months.

Into their endgame already?

The Right is positively shitting itself in fear. I just love it.

I find it interesting that they don’t seem to be eager to take credit for this.

Opposition research is pretty well accepted as a fact of life these days, why should they be shy about owning it?

If I were judged now on stuff I did in 1976, I would be in the hurt locker. How absurd.

Equally telling is that George W. Bush was NOT judged for anything he did in or near 1976, including the drugs, the drinking, being AWOL… no, we were told to take no notice of any of that…

It may be their hope to depress the Democratic GOTV this November, as well as defining their probable opponent early in voters’ minds. Good use of resources, and they certainly have enough of that.

Your linkage of the WFB to Bill Kristol led me to look at the site and Wikipedia article.

The Wiki entry is very slim, though it does identify Kristol’s son-in-law as the editor. And there is a sneaky anti-Iran bias in an article about Sarajevo and the origins of WW1 !?!

I didn’t find any information on who might be bank-rolling the operation. That might be interesting.

Dear Republican buffoons:

Regardless of whether you like or dislike the defendant, everyone accused of a crime in this country gets a legal representation.

Hillary was doing the job that was assigned to her. That’s how DEMOCRACY works, you morons.

Try again…

the issue should not be who paid for the research, but did Clinton do what she was accused of doing

OK, and then let’s revisit what Bush the Lesser was doing during the same time period, particularly his National Guard service.

And then we can revisit the run up to the Iraq war.

Since conservatives are now interested in ‘looking back’ seems like those would be worth looking into.

And what, specifically, is she accused of doing? Doing her job as a defense attorney?

Horrors!
