There are lies, lies and damn lies… in this case Ben is all three… he just can’t stop with the lies, once ok, twice pause, three times definitely loads of thoughts… daily lies he’s out PERIOD.

If there is one thing you can say about nutjobs is that they are pathologically consistent, they won’t be pragmatic at this point, if ever, is my guess. Cruz is playing Survivor and he may get some love. Huckabee is a possible mover, maybe even Fiorina (for those still pining for a Palinesque woman).
i know it is snark, however as a Vietnam Vet who saw many friends killed and maimed during that damn war even snark in reference to it, is in poor taste to say the least.

I have to agree with Erickson that Carson has some wiggle room, but the wiggling itself is harmful to Carson, who has been topping polls when voters are asked whether they consider a candidate to be honest or not.
Carson can’t wiggle out of his statement that he was offered a full ride to West Point. The best he can do is to say that people who would know told him that he probably could get in if he applied, and that everyone getting in is getting a “full ride”.
Fabrication in the service of self-puffery isn’t the way to maintain a reputation for honesty.
He probably can wiggle out of his false story that he was introduced to Westmoreland after the Memorial Day parade and had dinner with him. It is likely that Carson attended a 1500-person banquet earlier that year where Westmoreland was a featured guest. Even so, the explanation that he had two long-ago events mixed together only highlights the puffery in the original story.

I guess many conservatives are circling the wagons, but it looks like Carson is going to be the victim of 1000 cuts. Day after day a new “revelation” seems to reveal itself.

I love blaming the “liberal media” on this one. The Bush team is going to attack whoever is at the top until only Jeb is left standing. Ask John McCain what happens when you gain some momentum in a race that includes a Bush as a candidate.

I’m sorry that that crappy war cost you and many others so dearly. I thought about what you wrote, and wondered if I would have written the same thing in your place, but I still can’t agree to put a “do not touch” label on the war. While the war is not part of my experiences, it is part of my history, and it remains relevant in discussions of our country’s policies and politics.

The details of Dr. Knowlittle’s lies are even more amusing since there are no scholarships given to cadets to go to West Point, let alone scholarships that are given directly to a prospective student by generals attending gatherings.
West Point cadets are employees of the United States Army and are paid a stipend.
Gawwd’…Lying Ben’s ability to whisper “You’re gonna win cause’ you’re the New Messiah!” repeatedly into his own ear and hear it the same way every time is one weird trick. Uncle Ben is obviously a pathological liar…and not even a very good one.

“Benghazi” and the “liberal media” has nothing to do with Carson being a pathological liar! Everything in his book was fabricated. These events only happened in Carson’s head.
It’s interesting that in a lot of those complaints, conservatives are complaining about politico calling it a “lie” and pointing out that Carson never claimed that he actually applied. Politico actually didn’t use the word “lie” anywhere. They also didn’t claim that Carson said he applied - they claimed that Carson said he was offered a full scholarship, but pointed out that he never actually applied and was not accepted (and therefore couldn’t have gotten a scholarship - something that West Point doesn’t give out anyway).
