Democrats looking for an agenda should line up behind no more shutdowns. An automatic, 99 year continuing resolution should be combined with a permanently unlimited debt ceiling.

Some people could not help noticing that Senator Rand Paul’s (R-KY) stunt relieves Senator Mitch McConnell (R-KY) of having to keep his promise to allow a DACA vote, “as long as the government remains open.”
I think Democrats in the House should have shut it down until Ryan promised an up-or-down vote. I believe that most voters would go along with “Give us a vote!”
