Discussion: Congress Sends Resolution Condemning White Supremacists To Trump's Desk

I hope Trump;'s desk isn’t as messy as mine. I lose papers on my desk regularly.

Was this just a measure to box in Trump? I don’t think anybody’s going to ‘heal’ by another ‘measure’ . I think people want action these days…

Trump: I will love to sign it.
Neo Nazis: We understand.
Ayn Rand: So do we.

Just like all those contracts that Trump signed. The signing was as easy as the reneging was effortless.

Why do they keep saying that the white supremacist “allegedly” drove into the crowd of people. There’s pretty clear video of the attack. I know our justice system provides for innocent until proven guilty, but really it’s pretty obvious what he did. Are they afraid of being sued?

If the usual thing happens, being forced to sign will unleash a category-4 tweeticane.

Wow, Congress did something substantive…

It’s routine to say “alleged” until there’s a conviction and then to say “convicted of”. Even in a seeming slam-dunk case you could discover some bizarre reason the person didn’t actually do it, or wasn’t legally responsible. But it’s a provable fact that he’s alleged to have done it, and if convicted that’s provable too. You could lose your business if you make a mistake with this, so that’s what you do.

That’s not the point, though. The point is to needle him and make him lash out like a wounded anteater. Which it does, and he will.

Everybody on the planet knows it’s fake, meaningless bullshit… except for the most powerful man on the planet.

I think this do-nothing congress fits perfectly with the four different photos of seven time lottery winners deigning to share their life changing secrets if I only cover the shipping and handling. This do-nothing congress fits perfectly in a world where a man drove his car into a crowd of people and killed one of the women he hit with it. The whole crowd saw him do it and several of them filmed him doing it, but nobody dares stop saying “allegedly” until after the criminal conviction.

Truth is dying.

What does legal alien Sessions say about this?

Sure, I’ll sign it. And my condemnation will, as always, be sincere.

I note that the actual text of this resolution is not posted anywhere where it can be reviewed…

The Washington Post reports that an earlier effort at a resolution failed because of the following:

…Connolly suggested adding that Heyer was “a victim of domestic terrorism” who lost her life while “protesting against hate groups,” according to language reviewed by The Post. He also proposed noting that Trump “failed to condemn white supremacists and erroneously blamed ‘both sides’ for the violence.” That was a deal-breaker for Republicans, and negotiations fell apart only to be revived last week when Warner and Kaine offered their own resolution with bipartisan support.

So labeling a substantial part of Trump’s base “domestic terrorists” is still off the table…

I’m guessing he will sign it.

On many sides.

[/quote]Ha! Yeah, he’ll probably scribble something on the back like, “Peaceful counter-protesters and Antifas just as much to blame. DJT.”

Weasel out of this one, you ignorant racist fuck.
Maybe you can send Kellyanne Conway out to the media in blackface on her knees singing “Mammy” to show how not-racist you and your administration are.

the lack of a posted text is telling, as well as the addition of “other hate groups” in the annoucnement, which gives Trump’s people the out they need because they believe BLM and antifa (not that antifa is actually a group) are “hate groups”
