Good for Ted Deutsch; you speak for most of us. And thanks to Chris Murphy, who’s been relentless on this issue for years.
It’s easy to bomb the poorest Arab country in the world, especially with the newest US equipment, air refueling services courtesy of the USAF and Raytheon missiles. Not only do you get 14 million people living on the brink of starvation, a land grab from UAE Yemeni immigrants seeking to create a Santa Barbara/Malibu beach state, the largest cholera outbreak in the modern era, you have Jared, bone-saws and a $50 billion-a-year shackle for the Saudis that can only make Tehran laugh. Really can’t wait for the book.
Ah … you forgot Bernie who was also instrumental in the passage of the Yemen War Powers Resolution.
Last I checked, Bernie does not have a vote in the House. I agree, his support was helpful, but that’s all the credit I’ll give him.
It really is disgusting. To speak of war crimes would not be an exaggeration.
Will it become a campaign issue? Can it be used against Trump? Do any of the (potential) Democratic candidates bring any credibility to the question, in your view?
Plus if Sanders and Lee had not moved the Senate, passage of the House bill would be irrelevant.
With both chambers on board, Trump is forced to address the issue.
All our warring against the poor and sovereign nations gets categorized with Holder’s Too Big To Fail/Jail cowardice, can’t talk about it. We may pay for our sins one day, and Americans will scream “how could they, how could they!”
Don’t get me going.
