Please proceed, Sir.
(The exit is to the left of your far right)
Two hundred thousand dollars of debt because of baseball tickets, lying under oath during his testimony in 2006 and now this. I think he needs to say 1 billion Hail Marys and maybe he might get into heaven, not sure about the SCOTUS though.
My 26 year old daughter, still paying off student loans, has a greater net worth than an attorney SCOTUS candidate?
And she earned every damned dime of it.
I think he gets in. Our system is not good enough to prevent it.
Fucking conservatives are still trying to resurrect Nixon. Never the country, never the law, only the team that matters.
@system
Goody. This piece of trash Kavanaugh may not make it.
I starting to think he’s not going to be confirmed. Time will tell.
OK. McCain and Flake. Your move. Kavanaugh’s making it easy for you to do the right thing…
@system
I wonder if bone spurs kept Kavanaugh out of the service?
It’s more and more obvious Kavanaugh is not just a standard issue far right winger. He’s a full on fascist who supports presidents having monarchical powers. He has no business serving on the Supreme Court (or any other court, for that matter). Senators voting to confirm this guy is akin to supporting an end to the Constitution.
Clearly Kavanaugh believes in an authoritarian Presidency? How does this square with an “originalist” view of the Constitution? How does this square with notions of government transparency? How in the world does this thinking comport with government “of the people, by the people, and for the people?”
And most of all, how does Kavanaugh’s thinking square with the axiomatic belief that in this country no one is above the Law? Nixon was a criminal. And as far as I am concerned, so is Trump, who makes Nixon look like a slacker.
I’m sure we can make room in a SuperMax somewhere for him.
We’ll leave the light on for ya, ya rooskie stooge.
Not totally OT, and I know much of this came out in February in the dueling Republican and Democratic House Committee memos, but how does Kavanaugh feel about the release of FISA warrant info to the public that shows Trump campaign connections to Russia … when it’s originally been demanded by Republicans and OK’d by the president to release to Congress to try to spin?
Mueller wants to question Assange, which means TrumPutin will bump him off.
If even unanimous SCOTUS precedents are going to be in doubt, maybe the Topeka Board of Education would like to take another run at “separate but equal.”
“…How does this square with an “originalist” …”
Yea, verily, it’s a crock to pretend what one decides comes right out of the text of the Constitution. It always has been.
There are some things that are explicit. The rest is interpretation. What is “unreasonable search” or when has freedom of speech been “abridged”. Guys like this will judge by their prejudices and the rest is word salad to justify their decision.
