I’d like to read anything Malcolm Nance has to day about this.
“They’ll be back in 2020, they may be back in 2018, and one of the lessons they may draw from this is that they were successful because they introduced chaos and division and discord and sowed doubt about the nature of this amazing country of ours and our democratic process.”
Drumpf: “And I helped.”
Holy shit. Did he just admit Russia stole the election for Trump on national television?
“Comey Warns That Russia Will Try To Meddle In 2018, 2020 Elections.”
Republican response: “We see this as a feature, not a bug. After all, it has helped us to win, and that is all that really counts.”
This hearing clarifying to me an independent investigation is needed. Turner: fake news!
of course they will because it’s the only chance Vlad has at returning to his glory days instead of being at the head of a country with a pathetically weak economy and stagnant culture due to his inept leadership.
“They’ll be back. They’ll be back in 2020, they may be back in 2018”
And this administration and the GOP will wholeheartedly welcome them back.
UH oH. CoMeY so woRRied abouT truTh he haS tOAsK for a breaK so he doesn’t PEE himseLf.
My thought exactly. Those guys are so far out in partisan land, they think Russians interfering in the election on their behalf is a good thing. That kind of thinking has ruined other civilizations.
The irony is he was one of those characters who ended up playing a key role in this Russian psycho thriller.

“They’ll be back,” Comey said of the Russian government. "They’ll be back in 2020, they may be back in 2018, and one of the lessons they may draw from this is that they were successful because they introduced chaos and division and discord and sowed doubt about the nature of this amazing country of ours and our democratic process."
Over confident GOP assume that since the meddling was on their behalf this time, that it will always be on their behalf because: Entitlement!
Silly Party-over-Country Rabbits, Russian Trix are (not) for Kids - They are dangerous - wade in blindly, like you are currently doing, at your own political peril - and at all of our country’s peril.
Hey Comey, seeing as your interference in the execution of a free and fair election in the once, but no longer-United States, has been deemed the critical point in turning the election to tRUmp, I guess the relevant question would be:
Are YOU going to meddle in the 2018 and 2020 elections like you did in 2016?
Fucking asshole this is on YOU!!!
He’s the one to follow.
WHO in their right mind believes with certainty that votes were not manipulated against Hillary Clinton?
comey himself IS JUST AS GUILTY as Russian interference when he took sides only 11 days out with his now infamous letter KNOWING that the puppet had at that point been under investigation for over 3 months by the FBI!
and WHEN are we going to see investigations or hear evidence regarding money laundering between the puppet and various russian/american mobsters??
i would hope soon.
Of course the Russians will meddle in our elections again; they were probably here in force before 2016 too. That part is trivial: Behavior that is rewarded is behavior that will be repeated; a pattern the successes of Republican party illustrates all too well.
To wit the ludicrous misunderstandings and straw man queries from the Republican committee members were entirely predictable. Even on a superficial level they clearly were focused on distracting as much attention as possible from the central issue of ongoing FBI investigation and its potential for discovery of “high crimes and misdemeanors.” Those attempts will not be penalized; more likely rewarded by a distracted and feckless press.
But the tone of their comments and the confusion(s) they introduced also recalled to mind one of Hannah Arendt’s points in the final section of her germinal work, The origins of totalitarianism. Unlike dictatorships she argued, totalitarian movements don’t merely seek total political power and suppression of opposition, they seek to dominate every aspect of life and one way they do this is through misdirection and fragmentation: manufactured groups, facts, and crises splintering societies into warring camps with one dominant group arising from the chaos to control all on the path to world domination.
The existence of what appear to be separate realities has often been a source of commentary here and elsewhere and the vision of a fragmenting world is disturbing in its own right but in the world Arendt describes this is not merely an indicator of anarchy or nihilism, it is a trapdoor into tyranny’s abattoir.
For me, the single most important statement to come out this hearing was that Russia ran a dis-information campaign against Clinton. Not just cyber crime, not just selective wiki leaks, but a campaign of disinformation.
You and I know there was disinformation and that there was a concerted effort to push disinformation, but here we have the intelligence directors confirming this and confirming also that an adversary of the U.S. was behind it.
‘They’ll be back in 2020, they may be back in 2018…’
I’m relieved, we obviously have a real Sherlock running the FBI.
