If we have learned NOTHING else it’s that Trump repeats and repeats and repeats LIES and then repeats them again and the media assures us this is what the great swatch of voters ‘hunger’ for. So yes. Hard to believe FOX let him on, I’m sure Hannity won’t play this clip. Comey has been quite consistent in his statements, the notion that he is about to be locked up is of course delusional. But a lot of people that watch FOX believe he will be, so it’s important for him to be on there.
Oh please, Trump is out there daily saying this guy should be locked up, telling blatant lies, and the accused is supposed to go away? I think his responses are perfect, he keeps his cool and explains facts, which gets Pres Dickhead even more agitated, making him say even more incriminating things about himself.
Hell, Comey even had to explain to Anderson Cooper that from a legal perspective, a “leak” only involves classified information. If a person in the WH says Trump has been a madman of late, and Trump calls that a “leak”, he’s not speaking in legal terms. That person can’t be prosecuted.

Comey is having a great media tour. He is winning the credibility war over Trump. In addition, the standing and legitimacy of the Special Prosecutor’s investigation has improved over the same time period. There is a yearning in the country for accountability. His tour has also vindicated HRC supporters, as Comey has admitted, either intentionally or not, that irregular factors entered into his decision making, including polling, overthinking about perceptions instead of actual conduct, the influence of ‘fake news’, and perhaps most important, the role of rogue FBI agents in the NY office.

Watched in wonder last night. This is an EXCELLENT interview. Baier was very well prepared and respectful but pushed all the wing-nut tropes and Comey was calm and very effectively destroyed every one of them. Sean Hannity is wiping his brains off his TV/monitor.

I suspect there were some heads exploding in the Fox News audience. I’m glad Comey is doing this, even though I agree with 99% of the comments made by sickneffintired.
And yet, I hear people in bars repeating the “leak” lie as if it were true and would somehow discredit eveything the Mueller probe has found, and would discredit its past and future indictments.
Exactly, had he not went public the NY office would have leaked, which would have looked far worse. They definitely would have leaked, Kallstrom through Rudy basically.
Also, Comey wanted to go public with the Russian interference thing in the summer of 2016. The Obama Admin said no, they did not want to appear they were being political. The Obama Admin made a strategic error, they thought she would win anyway. So I am not blaming them at all, but it’s more a matter of why the hell Comey got blamed. He had no choice, it would have been leaked. To his credit, he hurried the investigation, and she was cleared before the election. The big question then was what in hell were Huma’s emails doing on Anthony Weiner’s computer. He at that point was already a known web cam flasher with young girls.
Huma had backed up a phone on that laptop is what I recall Comey saying last week.
Yes, exactly, just complete stupidity. Like Podesta, the cyber security guy, clicks on a link that a second grader would know was bogus.
And some of the emails on the laptop, as Comey noted, were from early on, from her Blackberry. And those had not been reviewed. Again, he hurried the review and cleared her before the election. Plus it took months and months for her to turn over all her emails. And the memo to State Dept employees with Hillary’s name on it when she took office said NO official business on private email. What does she do? Not only private email, but her own private server. But she blames Comey? Totally absurd.
