Discussion: Comey On Trump Tweets: ‘I’m Like A Breakup He Can’t Get Over’

I’m like a breakup he can’t get over

Comey chimes in with a well placed trolling haymaker.

Shorter Comey: I made him POTUS and he cant get over it.

Colbert is a very good interviewer.

Comey might be the most politically compromised FBI chief we’ve ever had but he sure has a way of zeroing in on the truth about those politicians.

Trump can’t get over those that tell the truth to his face.

I will never forgive Comey for his role in saddling us with Spanky in the WH.

That doesn’t mean I can’t enjoy his trolling right now.

Except, Comey, you jerk, we shouldn’t need your trolling — because you should have kept your meddling fingers out of this. You will go down in history with a huge black mark next to your name. It will never, ever be expunged. And if we get pushed into WWIII, you will be the one who pushed the button that started the machine rolling.

Did you see that photo from yesterday of Japan’s PM Abe clinching his suitor’s hands in a vow of undying love and loyalty? If it wasn’t so disgusting, it would be funny.

I liked how Colbert very politely told Comey that he gave Trump the throne. History will not be kind to law enforcement who play both sides against the middle instead of staying with “just the facts, madam.”

The highlight of the interview for me was when Stephen said his wife called him that day she heard Comey had stabbed Hilary in the back…just be be sure he covered his ass. It was good to hear someone resolved from that moment on that none of them were going to get away with this.

Wrongs are meant to be righted. Justice is more sweet than the dirty deed that begot it.

Comey is a jagoff for his actions during the 2016 election, but his book, Higher Royalties (oops, sorry Jim) A Higher Loyalty, and the associated tour, are two more logs on the fire that’s raging around donnie. So if he wants to keep stirring the pot, I won’t complain.

Once we’re through this nightmare, though, let’s hope he’s remembered as he should be, and not as he wants to be.

I’ve had a naive assumption that the leader of Japan had to be a good guy

Well, his wife appears to have graduated from the Trump School of Governance

Part of me is thinking, “stop provoking trump because you’re just teaching Putin to know where are the threads are that can be pulled.”

The other part of me is thinking that Putin knows all the threads anyway, and is just biding his time.

At home, Abe is underwater with cronyism(!!) scandals and is being pressured to step down. He’s not clean by a long shot. His numbers are even worse than Spanky’s. There’s a chance he thought meeting with Spanky would give him a boost – or at least some moral support, from one crook to another.

ETA: He’s trying to get Spanky to drop tariffs against Japan, in the vain hope that that’ll buy him political goodwill at home.

Hoover’s reign of terror is well documented. But we still don’t know about the changes made to the FBI during the Bush administration. Cheney packed the agency with Liberty University graduates who still work diligently to undercut the rule of law and insure a fascist regime could rise. Don’t forget AG Gonzales and John Ashcroft.

Don’t assume that all FBI agents are now interested in pursuing bad guys just because Mueller is trying to flush the Russian moles out in the open. The Far Right has a huge footprint there of conservative idealogues that rival anything Hoover ever set up.

How true. It is a disgrace that the FBI Building is still named after Hoover.

It is also a disgrace that there has never been a Democrat, a woman, or an African American nominated to head the FBI.

Take a play out of Arnold’s playbook and publicly state that Trump’s obsession is because he’s in love with you. The tweets will stop immediately.

Hillary Clinton has made a similar observation.

I agree that the Japanese PM seemed to be laying on the flattery with a shovel. It reminded me of the “cabinet meetings” where “ministers” take turns grovelling. Both are somewhat uncomfortable for bystanders, but you do what you have to do, I guess.

This is me, this is what I would’ve said. I’m as conflicted as I’ve ever been over any public figure. Coulda just shut up the Weiner-Abedin-Clinton emails 11 days before the elections and we wouldn’t have Forrest Trump in the WH.

That was an incredible response. Just perfect.
