God I hate getting old.
I remember when he did standup on Carson as well as guest-hosting, but never saw him on The Larry Sanders show. I thought he was very funny and his humor had a lot of heart in it. I will miss him.
The Sanders show was brilliant satire. 66 is way too young. What the hell happened?
Same here, but it still beats the hell out of the alternative.
For those of you who like Larry Davidâs âCurb Your Enthusiasm,â but have not seen âThe Larry Sanders Show,â do yourself a favor and watch it. Great cast, including Rip Torn!
I enjoyed Garry Shandlingâs humor, and more recently, his role as Hydra mole Senator Stern in Marvelâs Iron Man II and Captain America: The Winter Soldier, for which he was absolutely perfect. (Sigh), he was too young to go.

Senator Stern takes pleasure in pricking Tony with the medal he is presented.
My Dad used to say: âSon, you knowâŚJust about the only thing worse than getting old is the alternative.â
But he was lucky. Robust and active to the end, he died in his sleep 3 weeks before what would have been his 91st birthday.
Only 66? Undisclosed causes? Scalia?
He actually played that role in several of the Marvel movies and he was indeedâŚperfect. This is such a surprise. Doesnât it seem like we have lost a lot of performers of this vintage in the last few months?
This blows, stop taking our funny people away
R.I.P., Garry. A good man gone.
Very sad news. Why would a police officer be making the announcement?
Unconfirmed right now, but internet is saying sudden heart attack.
âWhat I want at my funeral is an actual boxing referee to do a count. And at 5, just wave it off and say, âHeâs not getting up.ââ

God I hate getting old.
[/quote]When someone asks âHow are yaâ? My stock answer is âIâm verticalâ. Makes them consider the alternative. The spooky part is Gary Shandling and I were/are the same age.
Rest In Peace, Garry⌠so it goes.

No, that character appeared in just the two movies that I mentioned, Iron Man II and Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Though I would have loved to have seen more of that character in other Marvel movies. Sadly that will never be.
