Shorter Collins: I’ll run if I’m not in jail.
I guess we’ll see if he’s a man of convictions.
Yep, and the sad part isn’t whether or not he decides to run. It’s that he’d probably still win.
Before everyone gets excited bashing him, I have to remind people (sadly) that Dems have Bob Menendez who used to be in a similar situation.
Implied Collins: I’ll let the clock run out (again), so that it will be too late to get another repub on the ballot, and everyone begs me to run, regardless of the court case.
Menendez was not found guilty.
Damn. I read the headline and thought Susan Collins had deep concerns about Trump 2020. I was looking forward to the court case that made her wring her hands.
But (if I get it right) it seems Collins’ case hasn’t been decided?
Even shorter: “I’m out–but need to grift until election day.”
Do they seat felons?
You’re not the only one…
Actually, every time Susan Collins appears in the headlines, there’re always some adjectives like “concerned”. Pretty easy to tell her and others apart.
He doesn’t want to serve from inside the slammer. I can understand.
Run … away.
“This” meaning defend a corrupt traitor in the face of a building blue tsunami.
He should cut his losses, because we’re not stopping until the Republican Party — the Party of McCarthy, Nixon, Iran/Contra, Garland/Kavanaugh, Trump/Putin — is forever banned.
Whereas the folks who are not grift minded choose to hold office so
they can help others have better lives …
You just stay focused on your own problems Chris …
They must be terrible to have to worry about —
Only a Republican would have the hypocritical balls to say something like that. If a Dem had said it, we can just imagine the headlines at AP, Politico, Reuters, and the rest.
“I am going to wait and see if the FBI finds the dismembered corpse of my 16-year-old mistress before I decide to run for re-election or not. And, OH!, Rep. Omar is an anti-Semite!!!”
Confirming that a certain portion of the electorate in WNY are living without a soul.
No mention of whether he did it or not?
