You can bet the other Senators on the list of potential defectors will hear about the airport applause . It will embolden more No votes.

Trump also doesn’t seem to understand that stopping the subsidies isn’t “letting Obamacare die.” It would be taking action to kill it. And he would get blamed by the voters.

Trump has no idea what do do when he is not in control–which is always.

Scaramucci’s fed-up wife filed for divorce while nine months pregnant
On Monday, while Anthony [Scaramucci] was in West Virginia with President Trump for the Boy Scouts Jamboree, Deidre gave birth to the couple’s baby boy James. As of Friday evening, a full four days after delivery, her 53-year-old husband had yet to meet his newborn son, though an associate close to Anthony said he visited the child late that night. He visited his Manhasset, L.I., homestead Saturday.

That phrase applies to SOOO many things (especially if the word “seem” is omitted).

So Trump can’t handle a woman with “game”? Or an onward path to governor of her state? Guess He can’t function unless it’s “toadies all the way down”

I think there are also a lot of Senators who will suddenly get religion from the opposite reaction of voters. As I posted in another thread, our GOP Sen. Cory Gardner, who was one of the select 13 who worked on the repeal bill, is now claiming that he has always urged Democrats to work with Republicans in a bipartisan manner to find solutions to the healthcare problems. There is no way he can support such a blatant lie but the fact that he has launched a preemptive defense is a clear indication that he knows he stepped in it with both feet and is trying to mask the stench.

After reading the article, this guy is a real piece of work. How is it going to work between him and Trump when they both want all the air in the room?

When I made the list you may have been the one who furnished me with the info on Gardner–for which thanks. With McCain out only Murkowski has to stand firm–and that PR genius who telephoned her probably decided that. When the pile-on starts the rats won’t be able to desert Trump’s ship of state fast ennough. I’d guess everybody except Heller is “in play” from my old list. I’d add Flake (“i did it for John”), too.

“That’s what we need to remember,” she said. “So it really would be detrimental to some of the most vulnerable citizens if those payments were cut off.”

Feature not bug
What do you think they have been working on for 8 years.
If that collection of Snydley Whiplashes could figure out a way to destroy Medicare and SS they’d be on it in a heartbeat

Edna Spalding: “I don’t care what it takes. I don’t care if it kills me. I don’t care if it kills you. I’m not going to give up. And if the two of you do, you can go straight to hell.”

It’s like “Places in the Heart”, but instead of fighting against all odds to save family and farm, Trump is fighting against all odds to rip healthcare away from people who need it.

fed-up wife
She just discovered his ambition. She couldn’t see it before because she always wears one of those black-visor eyeshades when she’s checking the math on financial documents.

I’m not the student of political history some folks are here but I can’t think of a time when a President tried to bully and intimidate the entire damn Senate. Seems like an unwise path to me.

And it’s in all the stories today that the Priebus purge was to rid the Staff of Lice of GOP influence and cut loose from the GOP. This is gonna work for Trump how?

I don’t expect Gardner to change his position, he’s a dyed in the wool winger who went to the Koch brothers fab fest in Colorado Springs last month. But I can see him and other similarly situated GOP senators deciding that it’s time to leave the ACA battle behind and move on to other issues. I think that was McConnell’s message after the skinny repeal went down.

He’ll finally be his authentic, unconstrained self. Like Superman. At least I guess that’s the idea.

Good question. If he unties from the GOP, what is his actual platform? What plans did he really have in place other than a todo list of “Win”. Odious as it may be, the GOP at least had goals with some structure behind them. If he splits, he is just a position in power with no real purpose himself. Aimless. Not good.

Actually, he has one idea: Lash out wildly and try to hurt people.
