Sen. Susan Collins, Maine voters are sick of your games you play every time you’re up for reelection. You pretend to be a Moderate and yet you voted party line on the final vote each time. The Game you play is to vote against certain high profile controversial legislation in the preliminary vote, but come the final that matters, you always voted along party lines the Mitch McConnell Line. Time for you to go, a pretend to be moderate who actually is hard right has no place in Maine or any state. Time for Democrats to Govern this country again and clean up the mess republicans always make.

Susan, sheesh, the way to signal strong disapproval is to seize the television stations and attack the presidential palace with fighter jets. Anything less is just going to burnish your reputation for a certain hesitancy.

Another way to express strong disapproval is to embed a stiletto heel in the orange clown’s skull. But Collins doesn’t wear heels, she’s worn by them. Ask Mitch.

As the next logical step in the ACA, I’d like to see someone propose that if you can’t afford health insurance, you can sign up for Medicare, even if you’re not over 65. It would be a foot in the door towards single-payer.
The cost would be less than having tax dollars subsidizing private health insurance premiums. Medicare’s administrative overhead is about one-tenth of what private health insurance companies piss away on lavish salaries, fancy “campuses,” and stockholder dividends, and younger people are cheaper to cover than oldies.

She’s been told by her handlers that she’s not polling well and they gave her this letter to send and talking points to bleat out.
The citizens of Vermont simply need a Democrat of good faith, not this stuck-in-the-rails parrot who pretends to care about issues, while she collects a great paycheck, gets stellar health insurance, and surely has great food in the fridge.
It is also a move Barr reportedly didn’t favor, but ultimately went along with, giving Hill Democrats more ammo to criticize his handling of this and other contentious DOJ issues, such as the Russia probe report.
The WH has set such a low Barr for criticism of their efforts to fuck the American people.

as long as it doesn’t come with a 2 hour speech detailing how tough it is for Susan Collins to be Susan Collins, it can be considered some sort of step forward for her.

Just think about it, a pony is living thing that will eventually die, whereas a badge will live on past your lifetime and be spoken of in reverence, or in this crowd irreverence.

I think the mood in Maine re: Sue is now all directed at getting her out of office. After Kavanaugh it became abundantly clear to most of us here that she wasn’t listening to Maine voters, to the point of actively shutting down modes of communicating with her.
The worm has turned. People around here are talking 2020 and not much Sue can do in the meantime is going to make a bit of difference.
