Just in time for Mardi Gras. Laissez les bons temps rouler!

Meh. They’ve already decided on the party line. Whatever anybody did or knew, it was just normal, and nothing wrong with it.

How do you say “taking the fifth” in Russian?

Still ought to be a nice bit of grandstanding by Senator Collins…giving us the appearance of getting to the bottom of this.

Live, televised testimony, Senator?

Collins: Oh, HELL no. Don’t be silly!

Note that it will be closed door and classified. And a party line vote will keep all information found by it classified as well. I sincerely hope that somebody in the room leaks a copy of the proceedings to the public, but I doubt we will ever get anything but a whitewashed report saying ‘nothing to see here, move along’.

I am comfortable loosely allying with any GOPers in the senator or house who will buck their leadership and take up a cause I am also pushing for. Whether or not Collins - or McCain, Graham, Sasse, etc. - actually come thru is to be seen but I want to support anyone who isn’t a blind water carrier for McConnell and Ryan.

The GOPer senator from my state is Toomey and he’s a lost cause, especially since he won’t have to worry about his seat for six more painful years.

“We’re not going to exclude anyone from our review, and it will be thorough, accurate, bipartisan and in-depth.” . . . And under oath? And, will the hearing be public?

At the very least, we need to have this guy subject to perjury charges if he lies.

Good start on the appearance of an actual investigation. I see the wording is “ask to testify,” not “subpoena,” but hopefully that would be next…as well as compelling testimony under oath. Also Manafort, Carter Page, Felix Sater, and Roger Stone, please, for starters. And Trump’s tax returns. Then we’ll see what we have an who else to call. Thanks.

“Collins: I Will Ask That Flynn Testify Before Senate Intel Committee”

Well, you know how that’s going to go. He’s going to put on his uniform, hold up his right hand, swear on a stack of Bibles and then proceed to lie his ass off.

It’s the American way. Just ask that “patriot” Oliver North.

It may be six years for Toomey, but I wouldn’t wait to find his Democratic replacement until then.

Bring in the FBI agent(s) Mickey Flynn lied to. Get it on the record. Have Comey down for some policy questions such as… is lying to the FBI, during a criminal investigation, a crime?

Oooh. I can’t wait to hear who the [non-earthling] alien moles are at the highest levels of our government.

Also, maybe he can help me out with something that has puzzled me. Why is it that those who are most likely to believe that 9/11 was done by the US government, instead of by terrorists from Saudi Arabia, are the most likely demand that Muslims be kept out of the US?

It may be academic, since Jefferson Beauregard Sessions III will probably not prosecute anyone, but my recollection is that during the Iran-Contra Investigation, the Republican sabotaged Joint Senate and House Committee ended up providing Oliver North and perhaps other guilty actors with immunity from criminal prosecution by making them testify before Congress. So, I am sure that there will be attempts to accomplish the same results here, as well as white washing the criminality of Trump and his election team.

Collins is getting an earful this week from angry and disappointed constituents. She refused to say whether she’ll run for Governor in '18. I think she considers Augusta, Maine a welcome change after 20 years in the Senate.

I hope she asks to see Donald’s tax returns.

With an ex KGB in charge… lets hope Flynn can make it there to plead the fifth in person.

He already lied to the FBI - which is a felony. Well, for Democrats it is anyway.
