Until Susan Collins actually votes consistently as a moderate I vote that TPM stop referring to her as such in every article.

It’s such an outdated concept that it rivals John McCain being a “maverick” as blatantly untrue.

But those billionaire tax cuts more than make up for it!

Ms. Collins, may I suggest growing a pair of tits and voting NO on this “not positive” CBO score?

You could redeem yourself, you know.

It isn’t? In today’s New, Improved Fuck the Pretext, Embrace the Cruelty With Glee" GOP, it’s a feature, not a bug.

Honestly, how can people sleep knowing that the passive capital gains of families with 250K in AGI are only getting a 15.8% cut off their top marginal income tax rates instead of the 19.6% cut they deserve? And for what? Just to pay for health insurance on unproductive moochers.

OMG. Susan Collins is “troubled.” ::eye roll::

Yes, we should call her the Queen of Weasel Words instead, because that’s how the so-called moderate Republicans sound “moderate.”

Ah…so many euphemisms, so little conviction.

Ok. I can play that game. If this bill passes, Susan, many many people will fall into a deep sleep never to awaken again. Not even by the kiss of a sweet Republican prince.

I hope my tone wasn’t too strong. Would hate to hurt your feelings.

So she got one get out of jail free card. Who gets the other?

This is it from just a few minutes ago. Now if the at least 10 people pounding on the woman would just STFU for a minute and put their sexism aside, it’d be a better world.

The old faux-moderate bat is going to fold like a cheap suit. She seeks to have more in common with out-of-state millionaires than the mid-to-poors of her own economically declining, demographically challenged state.

I will be more than happy to apologize to all Republicans if this bill doesn’t pass, but the outcome is still not clear to me.

And I don’t trust McConnell for one minute.

Maybe McCain, Heller, Flake, Murkowski, Cassidy Portman? There are many who are “concerned” about not only the optics of 15 million losing coverage next year but the reality of what that means for the people in their states. They also may want to consult their governors who are not in favor of this crap sandwich.

Yesterday in a thread about Collins and her equivocating about her vote there were 98 comments. There were also three threads about male senators who were also equivocating. One drew 58 comments, one drew 33 and the other just 38. It’s not my imagination that people love to pound a senator with two X chromosomes.
