“OK … let’s see here … who ordered the whirlwind?”

Fucking coward. Take your assurances and shove them.

Wait wait you mean Collins voted with the GOP?! I’m shocked! Shocked I tell ya!

Seriously, i hope that organization of women that started collecting money for her opponent in 2020 goes hard core after this.

Only fix for this is 2020, taking House, Senate and White House and expanding the court to 11 or 13 and loading it with young super liberal judges as a Giant Fuck You to the GOP and Trumpers.

Again, this was never in doubt. Anyone who thought otherwise needs to take a peak behind the curtain and see what the “wizard” is up to. Susan Collins repeated virtually every right wing talking point about Kavanaugh. She was always onboard with this nomination. And for those who think this was merely a political decision… well, yeah it was. However, I have no doubt that she has convinced herself that she is doing “the right thing” too. Such is the power of motivated reasoning.

Not a coward. A repug, conservative, freakazoid anti-abortion tool as long as she’s been in the Senate. The question is why anyone ever thought she was anything different.

I watched part of her speech. After the TPM article came out earlier saying she’d announce at 3:00 PM, I was like the WTF? Why all the pageantry? Stupid question. This was just a chance for a restatement of GOP propaganda (that said, she did diffuse some things, e.g., she called out the lies that Feinstein leaked Ford’s claims). She also needed that long to write her speech; she went on and on and on.

She lied and said that uncorroborated claims about sexual assault made it into the Senate confirmation process. But even if they did, it’s ridiculous that that should matter with regards to the claims that ARE corroborated. That’s like saying a person on trial for two murders should be fully acquited if the jury decides they committed one murder but not the other. So much for all the due process she blathered on about.

And then, of totally goddammed course, she made it all about the sexual assault accusations but said nothing about Barf’s lying and hyperpartisan tirades. Because those other things are exactly what the GOP thrives on and are, indeed, highly qualifying traits for a GOP Supreme Court nominee. After that, she actually had the gall to talk about how she hoped the nomination of Barf to the SC would reduce the partisan divide of the court. The hypocrisy freaking BURNS.

Anyway, fuck you, susan collins. And fuck your plea for civility as your party, and the orange turd your party elevated out of the sewer he belongs in, destroys our democracy.

Brightside: to whatever extent the recent reports of a shift towards the GOP in the upcoming election are real, the seating of Kavanaugh ought to diffuse their impact on the Dem’s chances come election day.

GOP perversity has no limits.

Ultimately, this weakens the Supreme Court, which is in line with the Bannonist notion of hobbling institutions. Yet Collins lectured her Democratic colleagues like they were bad, stupid children. Decades of consequences.

Remember when your parents punished you, but first they had to torture you with a 45-minute explanation of why they were going to do it, and why it was for your own good?

What a piece of horseshit she just gave us, giving us her “hope” that Bart will lessen the divides and restore bipartisanship to the Supreme Court. I’ve not hated a woman politician this much in my life. I plan to give lots of money to the Defeat Susan effort. More now because her alibi for her yes was So Fucking Insulting.

$2M+ money bomb goes off in Maine. She’ll be gone, and deservedly so.

take a “peak”?

From now on we can refer to Sen. Collins as being extremist pro-life hardliner. Expressions of concern don’t matter. Votes do.

Will the media please start ignoring this loathsome woman now? If you gotta report something just get to the part that says “Senator Susan Collins will again vote the Republican party line.” Skip all the concerned, hand-wringing drama queen kabuki.

Thanks.

Anyone remember the assurances Collins got for her vote on the tax bill? Fool her once shame on you, Mitch. Fool her twice, people of Maine get rid of her…

Yet throughout the process, Collins signaled that Kavanaugh had privately and publicly given her enough assurances that he would respect Supreme Court precedent on Roe v. Wade, the decision that made abortion legal, and would not seek to overturn it.

Got played.

I hope the Democrats in the House are putting together the parade of perjury with which to impeach Kavanaugh. Yeah, I know the Senate would never convict, but it needs to be done anyway.

Simply put, Fuck You, Suzy…

Senator Windsock has declared her vote, and as expected she will not stand up for the principles she gives lip service to. No one should be surprised by this, she’s ignoring the obvious lies of Kavanaugh and has been for months.

This entire process, going back to the blocking Garland, has been a total abrogation of how our government is supposed to work, and it is all on the Republican party. Hopefully Americans are coming to understand this, and understand how critical it is to vote, every single election, and to vote against Republican policy. Until the Republican party returns to following the rules that is how things must be, otherwise they will ruin us.

Wow – 45 minutes of nothing but empty GOP propaganda from a so-called “moderate.” Your “concern” means nothing Sen. Collins – only your vote.

November is Coming
