Sorry Stephen , God did not write the Bible , men did . The Bible has nothing to do with God/Jesus .

Even if Stephen, as a Catholic, does believe that God wrote the Bible, the real Colbert (not the persona) tends to be liberal and fairly LGB-friendly. He still has a lot to learn about trans people. I thought it was a brilliant segment about how silly and stupid the Right’s freakout over the non-rulings was.
"Colbert predicted that “these gay marriage cases will inevitably lead to a civil war” and then announced his aptly titled upcoming documentary: “The Gay Civil War.”
But of course, among bigots, it will be known as the “War of Homo Aggression.”

Perhaps you are unaware of this, but it’s satire. Stephen Colbert the character is a reactionary blowhard who doesn’t let things like facts and truth get in the way of his opinions; in contrast, Stephen Colbert the man is quite liberal and intelligent.
