OK, I’m a little ashamed of myself. I mean, back in like 1611, crowds would gather in merrie olde England to watch some guy who maybe actually deserved it have his guts pulled out and his skin pulled off and then be hanged a little for a while and then roasted in a fire and then be chopped into four pieces and stuck on iron poles while an appreciative crowd looked on, laughing and cheering. So me, I’m sitting here with a cup of coffee, laughing out loud while Colbert does that, basically, to Hannity. Who deserves it, God knows he deserves it, but Jesus, Colbert is just so gleefully vicious and it must be wrong, on some level, to enjoy it as much as I do. Maybe in some more enlightened age we’ll take pity on the Hannitys of the world and give them the therapy they so obviously need for elephantiasis of the ego or whatever the hell is wrong with them.
Stephen …I bow to the master of sarcasm.
((bows LOW and sweeps cap))
Being gleefully sarcastic about epic stupidity as in this case isn’t wrong in my opinion. If one is gonna take the time to be an epic idiot like Hannity then they should expect to have it pointed out to them. And I’m sure Ol’ Sean will take it personally.
Colbert is simply poking holes in Hannity’s cult-of-sh^tty-personality.
If from this-- just one Fux Newsbot sees Hannity for the blowhardjagoff he is?
It’s definitely justified.
If not? I’m still chuckling.

I have no idea what the viewing overlap might be, but I know one thing, like darrtown says, Sean will be ticked. As hilarious as the joke parts were, the real stab to the jugular was where he showed the sequence of vapid questions from the segment, your favorite this, your favorite that. It set aside the titanic self-regard and showed him for what he really is—a no-talent, no-taste, no-nothing-to-offer mediocrity. I’ll bet that for an instant while seeing that, Hannity just may have a momentary, swiftly repressed realization that he really does suck. At least I hope so! I’d hate to think he walks around without being gnawed by doubt from the inside.
Vapidity does wonders in excusing the afflicted.

Colbert is a great way to start the morning.
Is Stephen Colbert going out in a blaze of glory or what. That bit was Colbert at his very best, and that’s saying something.
Colbert soooo funny, yet, also hits nail squarely on head. Glad he is moving to CBS, but will miss his candid explicit remarks.
If Colbert were eviscerating a real person, your shame might be justified. But Sean Hannity does not qualify for pity. It’s more like euthanasia with entertainment value. And with Hannity’s cranial-gastroenterological maneuver, he’s blissfully unaware. You can snide with a clear conscience.
Colbert (and Stewart) are national treasures. Where would the debate stand if we didn’t have these two to keep the “MSM” honest? I would have much more sympathy for Hannity if he did not have such an incurable case of cranio-rectal inversion.
Laughing along with Colbert… If this is wrong, I don’t want to be right.
