Discussion for article #247114
âWell, I think your question is a very nasty question,â Trump replied.
Thatâs right. Donât address the question, question the premise of asking it in the first place. Donald is not used to being questioned about anything he says or does and does not react well to it. On another note, I bet it will be a while before Joe and Mika let Cokie back on their show.
Oh my! End times are here! Good God, every single Republican affiliate, commentator, newsie, correspondent, et al are blasting Trump to high heaven (like the biblical allusions here?..hah!) in an effort to cast out this demon from our midst.
Geesh, where the f*^k have these people been up until now for Crissakes!
Ignoring Trump, thinking that the Republican electorate is much more intelligent than it actually is.
Disregard the concern troll who expressed her highest degree of concern when candidate Obama was going to go on vacation to exoctic Hawaii, and she thought he should go instead to Myrtle Beach SC.
@mybeautifulmind This is exactly what she said mid-2008 before the election including some crap about the boy from Kenya which makes her journalism bonafides nonexistent.
but Hawaii is also a somewhat odd place to be doing it. I know that he is from Hawaii, he grew up there, his grandmother lives there, but he has made such a point about how he is from Kansas, you know, the boy from Kansas and Kenya, and it makes him seem a little bit more exotic
âWell, I think your question is a very nasty question,â Trump replied. âAnd Iâm not proud of it because I didnât even hear of it, okay? And I donât like it at all when I hear about it. Youâre the first one whose told me about it.â
Well thatâs a lie and he didnât disavow the rhetoric that surrounds it.
âI think the messages are very positive you know. Make America great again is a very positive message, not a negative message,â Trump said, again ignoring Robertsâ question about the effects of his rhetoric on young people.
It wasnât in LouisvilleâŚbut there ya go.
Câmon mediaâŚâyou asked a nasty question!â and no pushback on what an insulting F-head Trump isâŚyou just âreportâ while he goes all victim and ooooooooooâŚthe base, the base. This truly is disgusting.
The Founding Slave Owners created a society where rich white men answer to nobodyâŚnow everybody acts surprised that this rich white guy carries on that tradition. I guess the shock is that he is so vulgar and explicit with it
Trump the President America deserves
Oh, give me a fucking break. Just because she said something stupid doesnât make this line of questioning any less relevant.
You sound like Trump.
And that the 'Republican Bench" was Deep, not derp.
Roberts is right this time, but sheâs pretty much an establishment shill in general whose general line of rhetoric is âthe conventional wisdom.â
I give you no fucking breaks especially when you say I sound like Trump. She like most other so called journalists donât know how to interview him and get rolled every time. Heâs a master in a perverse way of evading questions he doesnât want to answer, and she hasnât got what it take to go him one better.
Her statement about the president going to Hawaii remains one of stupidest things ever said about him and representative of everything that was misunderstood about him.
Bingo!
Sooooooo? I know precisely who Roberts is but WTF does that have to do with this?
And short fingeredâŚ
Poor, poor DonaldâŚThe viciousness, the nastinessâŚIt makes him feel right at home, like Roy never succumbed to AIDS. Maybe the thoughtful will eventually take a Schine to him?
You make valid and relevant points in your critique of her interviewing style but you didnât say shit about that at first. You obscure that and this issue by bringing up something stupid from 8 years ago.
You are behaving just like Trump by deflecting from the point and going off on some irrelevant tangent.
I guess my point is that your original comment seems needlessly rude and inflammatory.
Iâm inclined to agree with littlegirlblue. These âwonât someone think of the children?â questions are softballs in âhard-hittingâ disguise. Everybody knows you will never get Trump to admit to doing anything wrong. But what if he did? âYeah, I denounce it, fine.â And then he goes on to do exactly what heâs been doing and no difference is made, but heâs gotten more free media time. The only way to deal with Trump is (1) ridicule; (2) going seriously Edward R. Murrow on his ass; or (3) my preference: not booking him. Criticize him, but donât allow him to do his WWF act on your supposedly serious broadcast.
This is Cokie Roberts in The Simpsons:
