Looks like I was wrong on Cohen. I never thought he’d cooperate 100%. I thought he’d give as little as possible to appear to be cooperating without really hurting Trump. It’s possible that his info initiated the inauguration investigation. Guess looking at 65 years total for the eight counts he pleaded to and walking away with only three years indicates he must’ve cooperated significantly. He and his lawyers asked for Cohen to be sent to Otisville.

I’m guessing he’ll go there. Most likely at the satellite minimum security camp for low risk and white collar criminals.
Added: From the NYP:

And why wouldn’t they want to go?

The prison’s store doubles as a delicatessen, serving up such favorites as rib steak, gefilte fish, kugel, salmon, chorizo and smoked oysters.

It’s only a 90-minute drive for visitors from the city, and it has boccie courts, horseshoe pits and enough room to play soccer.

Altman, who has spent time in six prisons since his 1989 conviction for running an interstate prostitution ring, says convicts could stay up until 2 a.m. on Friday and Saturday nights watching HBO, Showtime and Cinemax.

The low-security camp that’s connected with Otisville’s 1,200-inmate medium-security complex is exclusive too, housing only about 125 felons, two to a cell.

That cell at the minimum security unit is more like a dorm room at a college.

As of 7:45 am EST, Trump has not tweeted about the interview.

I guess Fox and Friends didn’t talk about it.

If we remember what the situation was like at the time, Trump was mostly concerned about losing by an embarrassing amount. He wasn’t thinking about the consequences if he happened to pull out a win.

I have to wonder what Republican leaders are doing about this behind the scenes. You can’t just ride this out like it’s no big deal. Each one of these things is like a torpedo strike on a battleship. One is devastating, and this is one after another after another. Trump has serious criminal liability on multiple fronts. And that inauguration one has the potential to be horrendous in that it’s incredible amounts of money almost certainly being divvied up in the most incredible, obvious graft since Tammany Hall. Most people are going to remain fuzzy on why paying off the woman in an adulterous affair is a campaign finance violation. But they’ll sure as hell understand raising 106 million bucks and then divvying a large portion of it up like the loot from a bank robbery.

The original is usually better. I am a big fan of some covers. Willie Deville’s cover of Jay and The Americans’ “Come a Little Bit Closer” is an example of a cover I have ended up liking more than the original, over time. But Tom Waits’ original “Downtown Train” still wipes the floor with every single cover ever recorded. So, Res Ipsa…

Preshitident Skanky-Manslut will claim they were not hush payments but bribes. As Justice Roberts has said bribery of conservative christians with suitcases of cash, Rolexes, expensive cars and vacations is fully constitutional. All very cool and legal.

IMHO the appointment of Robert Mueller as the Special Counsel was the best execution of a “nuclear option”.
The radiation is spreading.

Mostly, that is exactly what they do. In some individual instances, it hasn’t worked out for them, but for the most part, they have gotten away with this kind of thing for decades.

I know, they’re still all “I haven’t read about that, I’d need to follow up before I commented,” all that stuff, but it’s becoming insane.

Just wait for the “I cannot publicly comment about an ongoing investigation” dodge.

I read that he had a tape that led to the initiation of the inauguration investigation. A tape involving Stephanie what’shername.

I agree, it’s just not tenable medium-term to have a non-response to “I am not a crook” “I did nothing wrong”.

“I gave loyalty to someone who truthfully does not deserve loyalty.”

Testify!

Amen to that!
