He didnāt have advance knowledge of the meeting, but knows that Trump did must mean that after the meeting actually occurred, he heard Trump and Jr. discussing the meeting in a manner suggesting Trump knew all about it before the fact. At least, thatās what I surmise.

Maybeā¦Cohen probably feels betrayed by Trump for abandoning him to Mueller. Davis is trying to protect his client, and doing it publicly, and the best way to protect his client is get a good deal for him. That means giving up Trump. This statement really nails down the collusion angleā¦it sounds like Cohen met them after the meeting, and if either of them said something like āI thought weād get her emails from the Russiansā then that means they knew what they were doing. Thatās a bigger crime, and scandal, than what Cohen did for Trumpā¦and thatās before we get into all of the other criminal activity that Trump and his company did over the years.
Trump is hiding behind the presidency, but that wonāt protect his family or company from their bad behavior. Itās going to be interesting to watch the justice system start to take Trumpās world apart, piece by piece, and how he decides to react to it.
