What an idiot thing to do. Especially when Cochran was already fighting the good fight against his opponent’s unethical behavior and had at the very least, the upper-hand until this ridiculously stupid move. Not that I give a shit…

These folks are certainly contenders, but Nixon’s '72 campaign is a pretty high bar.

Agreed. Very stupid move (although he’s a republican, so not a surprise). Making McDaniel a victim here is not going to do the Cochran campaign any good.

Here in upstate NY there was a kerfuffle about campaign signs. A campaign worker for the republican planted a yard sign in front of the democrat’s house, then hid in the bushes with a video camera. He filmed the democrat taking the sign down, then ran immediately to the media.

Funny. I saw a bunch of McRacist signs disappear from a prominent intersection near my house. I just figured McRacist supporters were switching to Thad just in case.

This campaign is rife with infantilism and desperation on both sides and they want to represent voters?
This pales in comparison to breaking into a nursing home and taping your opponent’s sick wife or getting caught inside a courthouse with unsecured primary ballots. But I guess this would feel like highway robbery if you are a TeaParty crackpot.
Not that it’s ever been considered a crime in the South since the 1960s when Republicans do it to a Democratic candidate’s sign.
