But the intent here is to distract, attack Comey, and froth up his base over “leaks”.

Exactly. Kasowitz (sp?) may be the only lawyer or vendor Trump actually pays, and as long as he pays, Kasowitz will file whatever. No worries.

The obvious response would be a motion to dismiss, which will be granted, but the base doesn’t know this. And as for harrassing Comey and forcing him to pay legal fees? He could represent himself on this one, unlike Trump’s unpaid contractors and fleeced students.

Trump should have worked harder to get one of those white shoe DC firms to represent him.

He tried, but none of the well-respected attorneys in DC would represent him. They turned him away because he’s a disaster as a client, he’s a known deadbeat, and it wasn’t worth destroying their reputations even for such a high profile client like like the POTUS.

Maybe the dumbass just doesn’t understand the fact that the memos were Comey’s personal property to begin with and if he wants to release them he has every right to do so in any way he see’s fit. The one to DoJ may have repercussions, because it’s arguably an attempt by trump to use the power of his office to injure someone he considers an enemy. Which is another item in the typical bill of impeachment.
