I read another leak that he’s going to ask for bipartisanship in the name of national security. All I can say is if that’s it, after the buildup, people are going to be even more disgusted and contemptuous than usual. Maybe he thinks that’s a killer argument, but luckily it’s not my job to persuade him otherwise. Low energy! Sad.

I think Trump may just say he never thought about emergencies at all, that actually it was a very strong (and good) speech, and that many people are saying we are working on the wall now with a regular CR.

Important reason to think this may happen: because it would utterly shame and embarrass his underlings who have been carrying his water. One of the corollaries/possible explanations of #ETTD is that Trump subconsciously intuits or groks that there is a certain finite amount of embarrassment available to all actors in any situation, and if he makes you look like an utter fucking fool, ipso facto he does not look like the fool.

I am nearly wild with anticipation for the response from Schumer and Pelosi. I suspect they’re planning to have a ball with it. Even if they play circumspect, I think they are not going to fail us.

Also someone he trusts may have pointed out to him that a frivolous declaration of emergency for political advantage is worth an abuse of power article of impeachment any day of the week. I live just northeast of DC in MD. I was in my home office this afternoon and there was a massive show of force scatter by AF jets around 4:40pm. Massive presence, low, and ear-splitting loud. My dog was cowering and the windows were shaking. Normally I would think this was just some exercise out of Pax River or Joint Base Andrews, but the skeptic in me says this was some fucking stunt lardass asked for, just to terrify those of us in the DMV. This man scares the living shit out of me. I don’t trust my own instincts anymore.
Who knows what he’s going to go with… depends on how much adderall he snorts, I guess.
