It has gotten to the point when Trump decides something which seems insane/stupid, I ask myself, what would Putin want? Usually that answers why an action or statement was made which makes no sense in any other context.
“Just get it done.” That’s what every terrible manager says when confronted with the realities of a situation. It’s what frightened, stupid people say. It’s a macho way of saying you have no idea how to actually solve a problem or what steps are needed to achieve a goal. You arbitrarily pick something you think will look good at the end of the quarter and tell the underlings, “Just get it done.”
