This is just more Trumpian chaos-making. Eyes on the prize.
##Mueller
The very best people. So much winning.
I’ve heard that they’re sending press gangs out onto the streets of D.C. to round up new appointees.
To hell with John Kelly, but heaven save us from John fucking Bolton and his zombie-Friedman mustache.
Being a grotesque megalomaniac, Trump can’t get along with anyone. Resign, you sod!
Shulken has to go. Once you are so paranoid that you have to place armed guards outside your office doors… well things are already passed salvaging.
We’ve been hearing the rumblings about the other two for weeks now. And of course he like Bolton - because - bellicosity! But he can only be named to a non-confirmation position (as he wouldn’t make it through the senate.)
But here is the scary thing: There were reports on Monday (or maybe over the weekend - it all seems like a blur) that Trump is now feeling emboldened - that he is making more decisions with less conferring and that he thinks he is doing GREAT! He especially liked starting the Trade Wars. Think on the week - the last 7 days he has had. In his deluded mind - he thinks he is doing Great as President.
Heaven (or wherever) help us all.
I have to confess that I’m of two minds about these various staff changes. Part of me hates to see loons like Bolton end up in important positions, but another part of me thinks that we need to hit rock bottom before things can be turned around. Having some quasi-sane people around Trump may simply be masking the extent of the rot.
They didn’t assassinate Caligula until he got really, really crazy and dangerous.
At some point, he’ll have no choice but to start replacing his replacements and then replacing his replacements of replacements. What a colossal shitshow.
And because this is all so petty, I ask you - is it just me or has Fat Nixon gotten even fatter?
That is one big flabby bucket of f’ugly.
King Tub won’t like Bolton. Bolton’s opinionated and obstinate, he’ll grab the spotlight and mouth off. He may look like a good fit to Cheetolini but it won’t last.
He wants to reign over a cabinet of group thinkers that will grant his every wish. I’m surprised he’s not making an outright play for mueller by suggesting the demise of mr. magoo. Also, i think this move will hurt the GOPs chances to retain majorities b/c there’s going to be a lot of fucking up things between now and 18’ just you watch…
I guess the other thing to consider is will the GOP party will go along lock step…
The problem with the idea that Trump is considering staff shake-ups, is that it doesn’t look like Trump is capable of firing people. Whatever shake-ups we see will be the work of some or other string-puller. Kelly is the most probable candidate to consider as the string-puller, though it is also possible that some more complicated arrangement is felt necessary to preserve appearances.
His handlers haven’t actually let Trump make decisions since the opening weeks of the administration when they foolishly let him fire Comey and issue the first travel ban. But it’s not as if they can get away with just completely ignoring him. His dementia isn’t that far advanced. His attention span seems to be quite short, and his ignorance of how anything actually works makes it easy to fob him off with excuses, but there is still some reckoning of what he wants and what the handlers do that has to be squared. At one point soon after Kelly took over, they tried to get him off Twitter to sever his ability to communicate with the outside world except through his handlers. Perhaps they also tried to keep him away from Fox and Friends at the same time (we saw a temporary decrease in his Twitter rants, but we don’t have any handle on his intake of media, just his output), but found him less manageable if deprived of these outlets. They have to tolerate his Twitter rants and the Fox News habit that feed them, but by now the general public is used to that loop being meaningless, not representing actual public policy, so the damage is lessened.
The one thing that the handler regime couldn’t survive would be Trump complaining on Twitter that he’s a prisoner in his own WH. This is perhaps why the Kushners haven’t been ejected from the WH. They are a growing liability on many fronts, but perhaps they provide this invaluable service of maintaining for Trump enough appearance that he is large and in charge that he doesn’t go into open revolt. Without Ivanka nearby, they would have to use so much sedation that even the NYT would notice.
Oooooh, look how small those hands are!!
He has far more face than he used to, but Spandex works wonders on paunches.
Just when you thought it couldn’t possibly get any worse…
“I’m really at a point where we’re getting very close to having the Cabinet and other things that I want.”
Yes, morons and lickspittles.
Yeah, he’s probably been gaining weight due to stress. At this rate he’s going to make Taft look slender
The current staffers are the first choice. Now they are bringing in the frosh/soph team. That means we have probably seen the most functional the Trump White House could ever be. We are leaving the Trump golden plated age and heading into something more dysfunctional.
We haven’t hit rock bottom yet? Shit.
Rachel’s going to have to leave the room in order to display the chart when PuPPet is finally done with his purge.
Him and me both.
