Discussion: CNN Reporter: White House Doesn't Want Its 'Evasive Answers' On Tape

One outfit needs to hire a helluva fiction writer to add color commentary…even better the winner of the godawful beginning sentence of the year award. It would go viral in a heartbeat!

I know we say this over and over again but imagine if a President Hillary Clinton or Bernie Sanders did this.

What would Republicans be saying and doing?

This is part of the pattern but it is actually good. They smell the end coming and don’t want to face it.

The “end” may not come for another year or so.

I don’t even want to imagine the damage they can do in the meantime.

Of course RT is allowed their recorders.

ahhhhhhhhhhhhh…then they can cry ‘Fake News’ or ‘you’re a sad liar’ or ‘little whoever’ and when questioned they’ll just say ‘Prove it’ or 'You’d better HOPE there aren’t tapes…please, God, make it stop!

Don’t know why the media can’t just call it what it is: fascism.

“If he can’t come out and answer the questions, and they’re just not going to do this on camera or audio, why are we even having these briefings or these gaggles in the first place?”

Exactly. If they’re lying and prevaricating to begin with, why exactly are you giving them air time?

There was a movie once called “A Day without a Mexican” which contemplated a single day in L.A. without a maid, gardener, cook, field hand or home constructor. Imagine “A Day without Traipsing after the Trump Administration.” Deprive the drama queen of his oxygen.

Trump and the rest of them twitter - he can reach out to the base whenever he pleases. You can continue gathering facts and interviewing sources and reporting news. News like Isis has captured Tora Bora. News that others were shot in San Francisco last Friday, not just Mr. Scalise. Whatever Congress is sneaking under the radar while all the noise is going on.

Just like the good old days

So what about C-Span?

Well, good for Acosta for providing honest commentary (which will of course be dismissed as fake news or a witch hunt).

C’mon, that can’t be a Republican crowd - there’s, you know, Black people there…

All the major networks and newspapers and syndicates should boycott.

Meanwhile, Trump is trying to get a war on in Syria.

then treat the WH as it should be treated, stop attending the “briefings”, collect the hand out press releases, then point out the holes in the press releases with questions that would have been typically asked and answered in a traditional briefing

with phrases like: the press release failed to resolve matter X, the WH has made no effort to clear up questions regarding issue Y, and either has no clue what to do, or is uninterested in addressing this issue in some transparent and understandable way, embarrass them, or put words in their mouths and force them to deny your interpretation

pretty obvious that there is no interest in playing fair with this group, make them pay the price for operating outside the norms, and when they say “no fair” call them out for their unwarranted behavior

So now the White House can call their own briefings “fake news”?

Dear dog, that would make them honest in that instance.

Having public conniptions, and holding hearings.
