They’re the existing defendants.
Maybe even that $130K for ol’ Stormy?
And @stefano
Thanks for the replies….I did just read it again and see I got confused by the paragraph following that one. maybe another cup of coffee will help.
I wonder if that means on potential state charges, as a hedge against a possible pardon of Manafort. I’m still a little unclear on what the insurance policy for a PP pardon of the Kiev Kon Artist is…
This Gates situation has got to have many Republicans running for the toilets. If true, this is the end for Manafort and by extension, Trump. Mueller has Trump on obstruction is now dotting I’s and crossing T’s on conspiracy and money laundering. The Republicans keystone cops routine is laughable in the face of the freight train headed their way.
“What? Me worry?”
“Hold me, Daddy. Please?”
In a similar vein, I can’t imagine Trump NOT being involved in or at least having knowledge of all decisions made on his campaign’s behalf.
Or inventing weird conspiracies that discredit the FBI.
Those are laughable and becoming more so. The only fools who believe that crap would have voted R no matter what. Waste of time and integrity for the GOP, and they have little to none to spare.
His unpresidential behavior is not only based in this philosophy but also in the fact that no one in his campaign expected he’d win. Quelle surprise November 9. It wasn’t going to be just sit back and let money pour in because he’d run a losing campaign against the winning first female president. No, he’d become the stupidest president to occupy the office. BTW good friend Stone predicts PP will perjure himself with Mueller mainly because that’s how he rolls but also because law is an unknown quantity.
I’m speculating that Gates being such an arrogant dick during this process brought greater scrutiny to his slimy finances. I sense he is now in as big or bigger trouble than Mannafort and my be facing a bigger indictment.
Thus, to save his ass from many years in the slammer he needs to turn on everyone. He may know more than Manafort post election.
Those who cooperate and implicate bigger fish get the best plea deals.
'President Trump’s inaugural committee, which collected
6,021,384,355.66 rubles.’
Trump TOLD us he was a billionaire…
They may be dollars now, but back then, not so much.
This is the biggest school of bottomfeeders since Tammany Hall.
…but there were no Russians in Tammany Hall.
The noose tightens
Lies don’t have to be believable, when enough influential conspirators cooperate to make them the truth, and can impose that falsehood on their fellows.
Worth recapping the salient points of Gates’ résumé:
- Very long-term associate of Manafort.
- 2006-16: Worked on Manafort’s Ukraine operation, including dealing with oligarch Deripaska. Obviously a huge player in the money-laundering activities that were central to this operation.
- June 2016 - joins Trump campaign as right-hand man of Manafort, the campaign manager. Present for all the foreign policy goodies that Trump suddenly threw at Russia at the RNC. After Manafort left, stayed on and worked as fundraiser for RNC and Trump Inaugural Committee.
He seems to be a specialist in oligarch money-laundering and money-raising. Might have a few useful things to disclose. You don’t get to be the man in the room with Manafort for a decade without presumably being entrusted with important operational responsibilities. I like the cut of Mueller’s jib more and more.
Ahem…
This has devolved into a conspiracy
to obstruct the investigation
into the cover-up
of the collusion.
Now there are three levels of obstruction… Trump’s own, his staff’s, and Nunes’ committee(s).
