Discussion for article #239359
A bad day for Walker is a good day in the universe.
This is a poll among the Republicans in Iowa, who elected a woman to the Senate because she castrates pigs in her spare time growing up.
But this is GOOD news for Republicans everywhere, Scott Walker was expelled from college for cheating and we wouldn’t want THOSE details to hit the media if he were the Republican candidate against a Dem with a law degree, 30 years of public service,… well… you get the picture.
So the February caucus in Iowa will be held on a snowy night in winter when all the Trump folks will show up and huddle, (not a secret ballot or anyting that “democatic”)… and Bernie Sanders and Hillary will laugh between themselves no matter which of those two win the Dem caucuses. Bernie and Hillary actually like each other. Can’t say that Donald Trump likes ANY Republican rival for the nomination… he has already said so.
And what if Fiorina overtakes Cruz and Walker? That is three non-politicians as front-runners. Pretty solid message from the GOP base, I’d day.
Still, I never understood the logic of electing an outsider president who has no government, policy, military, economic, charitable, or diplomatic experience. The most important job on earth and these people want to give it to the person least equipped to do it. Baffling.
The poll was conducted among 2,014 Iowa residents, 1,258 of whom are likely caucus voters…
All 2,014 residents polled also thought Adam Sandler made funny movies, defying astronomical odds it was possible to randomly contact 2,014 muttering idiots in succession.
according to a CNN/ORC International Poll
I’ll believe it when I see it in an NPR/ELF poll.
Unfortunately, there isn’t a shred of credible evidence that he was expelled from Marquette.
“Associate Vice Provost Anne Deahl, said: “Governor Walker was in good standing each term while he was enrolled at Marquette University and when he left Marquette University. Governor Walker was not expelled or suspended from the university at any time.””
Trump has only 22% support in Iowa. How does that constitute being “way up?” The other 78% is spread out among the other GOP “clown car” occupants, nearly all of whom have a low opinion of Trump. As the GOP field thins out, expect the “orphaned” supporters to gravitate toward Bush, Rubio, or Fiorina – not Trump. Once a consensus alternative to Trump has been established, his 22% will be nothing more than a vocal minority.
Well, a vocal minority is what’s important in a primary race. Especially in a caucus state.
The most noticeable thing about that poll is that the GOP establishment candidates are all in the basement with their respective base.
You could pick some guy off the street right about now, and call him a GOP candidate and he’d probably poll better than some of these assholes they already have on their long list of bozos…providing he was white, Christian, and male of course.
This is great news for democrats
Here, hear!!
He says he respects some of them. But that may be changing.
And In Other News …
The geological survey announced an 8.3 richter scale event today as the totality of founding fathers rolled over in their graves ---
Carson was seen as the best candidate to deal with abortion.
I wonder what they think that would be.
Walker has scared me since he started destroying my favorite vacation state. Actually, he personally doesn’t frighten me. He is stupid, willful, sneaky, and ignorant. But, the extreme riches that his backers have permitted him to take control over a formerly liberal state, destroy its unions, its colleges and universities, its worker protections, and turned that state into a mini-Kansas experiment. Last week, I spent the weakened there, and even conservatives (but one) were agreeing that Walker has turned out to be a menace. His approval rating is in the toilet, his “would never vote for him again” rating is skyrocketing. But the media keeps ignoring that story, and until Ailes kissed up to The Donald, Fox clearly was supporting him and/or Bush.
I tend to disagree with that. There’s no indication that Rump’s supporters would naturally move over to an establishment candidate. The ideologies are different. The remaining candidates are gonna have to get at least some of those 22% on board their wagon. I’m not clear they can do it.
25% is what Santorum won with last time. And Romney had almost that much.
We will see what Trump can do in the way of putting boots on the ground.
I troll my Republican friends by saying, “The damn country is going bankrupt! And who knows more about going bankrupt than Donald Trump?”
Walker is most definitely not stupid. He’s a Bachmann type; crazy, not stupid.
He’s destroying my home state.
