Discussion: CNN: Mueller Has Interviewed Sarah Huckabee Sanders

I hope in private she’s a little more honest than she is in public…

ā€œThe President urged me, like he has everyone in the administration, to fully cooperate with the special counsel,ā€ Sanders said in a statement Friday afternoon.

THAT IS A LIE!

I hope in private she’s a little more polite than she is in public.

I would be fine if she was as normal. Her being charged is fine with me.

I doubt she knows a damn thing about any of the russia shit. She’s a woman. donald wouldn’t talk to her about anything. I assume all she’s ever told is what she’s supposed to say in public.

My guess is that she stared past the shoulder of the interviewer, hollered that the President was misunderstood and mischaracterised in a blandly hectoring tone, regardless of the question, then looked around the room for a friendly Fox reporter to take the next question from.

I’m skeptical that she had any real criminal exposure before her interview, but here’s hoping. And I’m very much hoping she was dumb enough/habituated enough to lie to investigators about something.

Saraha Huckabee Sanders would be a complete fool if she lied to the FBI.

Mueller is probably closely examining statements she made from the podium that were either demonstrably false or constitute examples of witness tampering. Mueller wants to know if she was directed by Trump to make those statements. Was she literally his mouthpiece to obstruct justice?

This has big time implications for the obstruction inquiry, but also for all manner of stochastic interference and encouragement from Trump directed through his general public statements. If Mueller believes statements issued from Sanders could constitute obstruction of justice then it means that he might prosecute ā€˜stochastic encouragement’ to commit crimes. There are precedents for this in organized crime and terrorism matters. I think there are perhaps some RICO cases where this has come up. ā€œRussia, if you’re listeningā€ for example, might be prosecutable as an order that was understood by co-conspirators to execute. Some big possibilities here.

Of course she responded to every question by stating ā€œThis has nothing to do with the White House.ā€

…Or she could have weaved so many different lies about so many different things that even when she thinks she’s saying ā€œGood morningā€, she lies…

Lock her up! Lock her up! Lock her up!

" interview happened in late summer or early fall"

Would that coincide with her dialing back the number of press events?

Then she’s doomed.

When was it that she said she was going to be leaving her role? (and then she didn’t really leave)
