So why doesn’t he just come out and say as much already so we can move on?

The only reason this tease of his makes any sense at all is if he knows something that we don’t about Hillary Clinton, that the you-know-what will hit the fan in the near future and he expects to be able to come to the Democrats’ rescue. But what indication is there of something suddenly crippling Hillary’s campaign like that? She badly mismanaged the email “scandal” and having the emails be revealed so slowly isn’t good either. But no devastating bombshells have come out of that so far.

It seems clear (and has for some time now)that Joe prefers not to run, but as a good democrat is keeping his name out there as to jump in if the party gets nervous about its chances.

Not participating in the 1st (better late than never) debate, to me underscores this.

He must feel that Hillary can weather the storm, Bernie can handle it if she doesn’t, …or both.

His private meeting with Warren a month or so back, shows me that if he has to jump in, he has the plan to dig in at both Hillary’s base (women) and Bernie’s base (more liberal part of the party) to unite and excite the party should it come to it.

Is CNN going to start listing all of the people who aren’t candidates who will be declining to participate now? I know that they have challenges filling a 24/7 station with content, but there have to be better ideas.

lol…because VAWA doesn’t mean jackchit? The Violence Against Women Act took a long time to pass and through two US Presidencies, but Biden never gave up and never looked back. Look, Joe’s been a public servant for many years and thus has many votes and actions under his belt, go for it. There’s a lot from which to pick and chose to find something that can be presented as a negative. You’re either a feel the bernie or coronation hillary…good on you, but many who actually know Biden’s history feel he’s the best for POTUS 2016.

I saw the hearings. The VAWA is what he did to save his career. Clarence did far more damage that VAWA saved. So no, he’s not a net positive and his belief that he can waltz in and save the day meanwhile letting his people try to damage other campaiigns is disgusting.
