āBut, But, But Handle won in Georgia. Weāre winning bigly!ā
His supporters and Republicans in Congress will give him a break - after all, heās new at this obstruction of justice stuff.
Let me guessā¦ President Trump is new at this job, and he simply didnāt understand when he made his request that it crossed a line. Yeah. Sure.
Where is the rest of the conversation? What did they say to Trump? How did Trump respond to their ārefusalā if in fact they refused? How long did that conversation last?
Whoever quoted them as saying that they didnāt feel Trump was trying to interfere was really twisting the knife. Yowza!
Well it was awkward and they were surprised he asked but, they didnāt think he meant anything by it. Uh sure, i have no doubt it was just an innocent request/suggestion.
Apparently Trumpās suggestion was āsurprisingā and āuncomfortableā but not āinappropriateā.
The Democrats better get their asses in gear and win back the House in 2018. Otherwise, all of this is going to mean bupkes.
Trump worshippers canāt even READ these words, let alone believe them.
While these guys may stall, they wonāt just lie, outright, the way Trumpās handpuppets do so casually, these guys may be stubborn conservatives but they believe themselvs to be men of honor, and that is one thing Trump hasnāt yet discerned because he is completely bereft of ANY virtue, imagined OR real.
Seriously, Republicans, at least read this article carefully, then THINK about what you just read and and maybe you will actually WAKE UP!!!
Iām still amazed anytime I see āTrumpā and āintelligenceā in the same sentenceā¦
Rogers and Coats are such patriots. Every time I see them I want to break out into the āInternationaleā.
"Rogers told the committee that he had not been ādirected to do anything I believe to be illegal, immoral, unethical or inappropriate.ā Coats said that he ānever felt pressure to intervene or interfere in any way with shaping intelligence in a political way or in relationship to an ongoing investigation.ā "
These liars need to go.
āsurprisingā and āuncomfortableā adds up to āinappropriateā in most universesā¦
Okay, so he asked you to deny something you actively know is, at best, unanswered. You felt uncomfortable and it was awkward. But you never felt like there was pressure or he was attempting to obstruct.
Right.
To be fair to both gentlemen, neither had been grabbed by the pussy before.
But they werenāt pressured. The Pythons have a moment for almost anything.
Interviewer: He nailed your head to the floor?
Vince: At first yeah
Presenter: Another man who had his head nailed to the floor was Stig O' Tracy.
Interviewer: I've been told Dinsdale Piranha nailed your head to the floor.
Stig: No. Never. He was a smashing bloke. He used to buy his mother flowers and that. He was like a brother to me.
Interviewer: But the police have film of Dinsdale actually nailing your head to the floor.
Stig: (pause) Oh yeah, he did that.
Interviewer: Why?
Stig: Well he had to, didn't he? I mean there was nothing else he could do, be fair.

BTW, What's Mike Pompeo's role in all this? He was still briefing Flynn, when he almost surely knew that Flynn was compromised.
This was a troubling ask by trump. The question I would hope to have asked is, āwhy are you asking Mr. President, is there something else I need to knowā - while thinking wow this job is not going to end well.
I am not sure that these guys are that trustworthy. As in their testimony they were completely unwilling to look at anything outside of the literal words. If he wanted them to go say there was no collusion than that is trying to get government officials to comment and take sides on current investigations.
I am not sure that falls under obstruction of justice as clearly as the one with Comey but it is not good and supports the later more clearly. As it is very consistent. And at the very least highly unethical and legally dubious.
Plus, not sure where Trump is getting there was no collusion. The investigations are still ongoing. And it seems like there are two very clear people that have done so. Maybe not with some of the coordination but that they were also working for other governments. And that is not even including Sessions lying under oath multiple times.
I am skeptical that there is enough to get Trump or his campaign for true collusion, but I have no doubt that some happily accepted information provided by the Russians. Maybe I am wrong, but it seems like Russia could manage a fair bit of this on their own. The GOP was just excited that it helped their cause and sold their souls in the process.
The very important āwhat am I covering up?ā question that nobody in the GOP has had the foresight to ask before going out and running defense.
