FOX: WTF is going on. Why is Sir Trump watching CNN?
CNN: We gave him some stock options.

OT, but FT is doing their bit re DT (and his Murdoch connection).

Financial Times, London, Feb. 9 2017 It was the journalistic coup of the moment, the first British newspaper interview with Donald Trump since his victory. But there was one thing The Times of London did not reveal: that its proprietor Rupert Murdoch was sitting in on the conversation. The interview was conducted by Michael Gove, a former British cabinet minister and proponent of the UK’s exit from the EU.

Yesterday they had a piece about Ivanka Trump as trustee of Murdoch’s youngest daugthers and the close business connections between DT and RM.

Telling it like it is (same article as above)

Mr Trump and Mr Murdoch are in regular contact while Mr Murdoch, who has been running Fox News Channel since Roger Ailes was pushed out last summer, has positioned the network squarely behind the new president. When Megyn Kelly, a star Fox News presenter, left the network for NBC last month, Mr Murdoch personally selected her replacement, the Trump-supporting presenter Tucker Carlson. Mr Carlson’s appointment means that the three key prime hours on Fox News are hosted by pro-Trump commentators.

The president* can live in his own reality all he wants; I understand such things as recording technology and the Internet. Time to invoke the 25th Amendment yet?

We have a moral crisis with this man. Apparently he is not moved by the deaths of 9 children the same ages as his grandchildren but obsessed with SNL, Nordstrom, and CNN. Nothing from Ivanka who is supposed to be concerned with children.

I like “those are the facts”. Nice contrast with “fair and balanced”, and it has a Cronkite flavor.

CNN, obviously, needs a Jack Webb hologram…

In the interview aired earlier Thursday morning, Cuomo asked Blumenthal to respond to Trump’s attack on his credibility.

“What is your response to the President of the United States saying you should not be believed because you misrepresented your military record in the past?” he asked.

“The President, with all due respect, is once again off on the facts,” he said in the later segment. “And that’s not something that any of us have any desire to say on a regular basis but it keeps being true.”

Ugghhh

Cuomo said “fake news” is the “worst thing” to call a journalist.

“He just keeps doubling down when the facts don’t favor his position,” he said. "The truth of the matter asserted is about whether or not this judge says what Blumenthal said he said, his own comms guy says it, nobody denies it except the President of the United States, and once again he doubles down when he’s wrong."

four letter word…the first letter is a l. I get why Cuomo doesn’t come out and say it, but what’s Blumenthal’s excuse?

nope

as long as the other Triumvirate members and the Oversight chair are willing to lie for him (and that’s what it is at this point…shit), then only the midterms can solve this matter (maybe)…

but what’s Blumenthal’s excuse?

Wisely doesn’t want the Trump son sequitur to make Blumenthal the story.

“Just the facts, ma’am.” (even though, apparently, Joe Friday never said this)

CNN did not ask Senator Blumenthal about the time he lied to his mom about the cookies he ate when he was five years old. Fake News!
