Discussion for article #240450
This country should honor diversity by allowing each of us to follow our own deeply held beliefs.
Because anarchy can provide such an exciting day to day existence!
“Times fun when you’re having flies”
It is funny, because he is basically saying yes. Everybody can do whatever. The issue here is that she is refusing to do her job. If they passed something to disperse the authority to do something, in case somebody was not ok with it, it just passes the buck. It does not solve any problem at all.
And I do not even get why it needs to accomedate these people. Some things should, but it seems that this pretty much gives an out to any sort of negative thing somebody feels. Don’t like poor people, don’t give out aid to them. Still get paid, sounds goods.
My belief is
One nation, divisible, with liberty and justice held hostage to the whims of the uneducated…
So according to Santorum, Al Gore won the presidency he 2000. Hell yeah!!!
What anarchists like Santorum are unwilling to understand is that Davis can be true to her perceived conscience, but she can’t do it acting under color of law to deny people their constitutional rights.
My belief is
One day soon a Martian riding an aluminum donkey will capture D.C. and enlighten us with a message from outer space delivered by farting and tap dancing on Fox News.
Homage to Kurt V.
Waaaaaaaa — I didn’t get my way ! ! ---- Waaaaaaa
It strikes me as odd to see this guy described as a Presidential candidate. You could fix up a Big Mouth Billy Bass to say it’s running for President and it wants your vote and so forth and it would be just as viable a candidate as Santorum. He’s nothing more than that weird kid from school who ostentatiously wore a huge cross around his neck and was always on about religion and ate lunch with the other outcasts if he had any company at all. We don’t elect that guy President. You could spot him 20 million votes and it still couldn’t happen.
Confirming once again that Frothy doesn’t even possess a rudimentary understanding of civics, our basic structures of government or the Constitution.
But the bigger question is why is this non-entity even appearing on television? My dirty socks in the laundry hamper are probably able to poll higher than he does at this point in time.
“Number one, because the Supreme Court says something, doesn’t necessarily mean it’s the law of the land,” Santorum said to Camerota.
Jeebus Muther-Fudge! Anarchy – Santorum supports a country of anarchy because … well, Christianist Dominionism.
I think the next time I see this Santorum guy walking down the sidewalk, I’m going to trip him, hoping his face cracks hard on the pavement because … well, me! Just because we have laws against my act of tripping others like this does not mean I have to follow it, does not mean it’s necessarily the law of the land … right, Brown-Squishy?
“Number one, because the Supreme Court says something, doesn’t necessarily mean it’s the law of the land,” Santorum said to Camerota…"
Article 3, Section 2 of the US Constitution says it is: “The judicial power shall extend to all cases, in law and equity, arising under this Constitution, the laws of the United States, and treaties made, or which shall be made, under their authority;…”. And obviously the wingers know it or they wouldn’t be trying to amend the First Amendment
Beliefs: Those and a dollar will buy you a cup of coffee. I can do without the excitement of anarchy, thanks very much.
opie dei santorum. my beliefs trump the law, so there.
personally, i think i should get to do whatever i want because i’m me. my church of one (me) is quite alright with this position.
Thank you! This is the most simplest but most Spottest-On explanation there is for this issue.
“It did not provide anything that Kim Davis had to issue a marriage license. It said very clearly that there had to be accommodations provided for people of faith.”
Accommodations for ministers, right?
Kim Davis is not a minister in her capacity as county clerk.
Never noticed before, but Santorum’s face is very unsymmetrical both vertically and horizontally. Eyes at different levels, mouth way off from his nose. Walker’s eyes are obviously at very different levels. Is this resemblance to Alfred E. Newman related to similar brain issues, or did a lifelong facial oddness cause a perception among other kids etc. that they were weird and affect their social development?
So, can Obama still require Southern states to have any election law changes certified by the DOJ because his religion preaches equality for all men?
Can Obama have the FEC and DOJ jail any corporate donors to the GOP because in his bible, Jesus kicked the money changers out of the temple?
Wow, I never new Sharia Law could be so fun to play!
“Number one, because the Supreme Court says something, doesn’t necessarily mean it’s the law of the land,”
RIGHT THERE he is disqualified from EVER being President of the United States of America.
We are a nation of LAWS, not of MEN or GODS.
His former comparisons with the Civil Rights movement is even more ridiculous. Those in the Civil Rights Movement were WILLING TO GO TO JAIL for their beliefs. Kim Davis wants to keep her job and PAYCHECK and NOT go to Jail for her Beliefs (which tells you how hypocritical those beliefs actually are.)
If we don’t push back on these American Taliban assholes will rue the day.
Salient Quote: “When Fascism comes to America it will come wrapped in the Flag and Carrying a Cross.”
Ricky Ticky Tahvee is Cuckoo for Cocoa Puffs!! And, all this from the party that accuses the President of deviating from or skirting the U.S. Constitution!!
That man’s got more issues than the National Geographic and more hangups than a telemarketer. Really hard not to speculate that he’s been repressing a priest-abuse issue for most of his life.
