Carson actually said “tenants” not “tenets”. This is reflective of his education, outside his narrow specialty.

He comes off as being about as inspirational as an Ambien and Nyquil cocktail. He always looks like he’s about to fall asleep. It would be interesting if he were to get the nomination.

You could say the same thing about fundamental Christianity. Or any other religion. Ben, that is why in the Constitution there is a proscription against any religious test to hold office. The founders did not want a state religion.

That’s why they called it quits. This interview was an absolute disaster for Carson. From the beginning with his answer about the death penalty “people in the area”…He literally couldn’t even remember that we call “the areas” States. And then after making that blunder, to then state that people cannot be American and Muslims is just breathtakingly stupid.
Because that IS what he is saying…either you are American or you are a Muslim…questioning both their faith and their loyalty in the same attack.
If I were his campaign manager I would be hauling out the hook to yank him off stage, too.
Of course, Carson is just waiting for someone to raise the question about Christians. He is literally trolling the press right now, hoping someone takes the bait so he can cry out what a victim he and every other Christian in this country is, and how the press wants to crucify him.
