Discussion: CNN: Hope Hicks Expected To Speak With House Intel Committee

Which is Nunes’ intent. He is trying to ferret out everything Mueller has, in order to feed it to the Trump legal teams and emergency PR response teams.

We’d like to think people placed under oath before a Congressional committee or Special Counsel would tell the truth, if for no other reason than the fear of consequences resulting from purgery charges. We’d also like to think a President wouldn’t preemptively signal to those people that telling the truth wasn’t required because he’d pardon them if purgery charges were filed.

Yet both the above suppositions are faulty now. How does the justice system operate when everyone in the room knows witnesses do not have to be truthful, for they are effectively immune from punishment for lying? Coupled with the fact the President issuing the pardons cares not for the negative effect it has on his Presidency, for it may not have any negative effect at all?

Except that, as Trump’s amanuensis, she is known to have been in on the creation of at least two key documents: the letter that fired Comey and the “explanation” of the infamous Trump Tower meeting about “adoptions.”

Hicks could take the 5th. Later Trump could say Congress and Mueller were mischaracterizing her invocation of the 5th.

What Ms. Hicks needs at this point is legal advice.

Also too, a previously undetected fissure in a few Tectonic Plates could disappear North America. Or Adam Sandler could win an Oscar. Not sure which you’d prefer.

Apologies to @hoagie then, but as for some of the other comments on here…

Don’t get me started.

I think that’s her only option if she has any “loyalty” to the Dotard at all, which she clearly does. She is the essential cog in the machine that enabled this entire collusion enterprise to occur. She can put 45 in prison, or she can go there, herself. Her choice.

If there was anyone with genuine interest and power in conducting this investigation, Hicks could probably be charged with perjury from the time she announces her name.

@steviedee111 I don’t know if “purgery” was a Froodian slip, but given her track record in getting others canned, it was appropriate.

As Trump’s likely WH mistress she knows when to keep her mouth shut…or open.

As a woman, she knows how to lie.

The mockery is so thick in here you could cut it with a nife.

And as a man, what does Trump know?

And his handler, of course.

Hope: don’t sell out for the dotard. Just tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth. Manafort Cage, Flynn, Popodopolous, Bannon, Pence, and others will learn that lying to protect the dotard will kill their careers and possibly result in jail time. Potty mouth and brain dead Trump is not worth it.

I just hope that Hope never has to deal with dumpy Trumpy in his tighty whities like others.

Why stop at lewinski (sp)? Moving on up

Yes, I was quoting the chauvinist in chief, rump, who called Hicks “the best piece of tail” Lewandowski would ever have. I guess sarcasm is hard for you.

I really don’t think she needs your patronizing protection. She plays with the big boys and is no innocent.

See my comment below. Hicks is just as guilty as the rest of the crime family.

Wow. Jumpy, much? Since you have assumed that I meant to ‘protect’ her, I’ll correct you. I did no such thing. I found the attacks on her appearance and gender to be sexist and unwarranted. As you have noted in your own way, she likely has enough culpability to allow for one to criticize her judgment and/or her actions without resorting to discussing her make up, etc. I opted not to get that far into it, though, since I didn’t think the comments themselves warranted much more than my dismissal.
