Discussion: CNN: Hacker Of Anderson Cooper Twitter Account Sent Rogue Tweet To Trump

a “tool” and a “pathetic loser”

I always thought hacker’s were smart. This proves it…

If Cooper had tweeted it, I’d have no complaint. Though has anyone thought that the excuse “someone hacked my account” people use after tweeting something they shouldn’t have is now valid? Provided Cooper didn’t actually tweet it.

I’m sure it’s just an amazing coincidence that the Trump Administration’s most vocal critics are the ones being smeared with all these hacks, forgeries, and flimsy accusations. I smell a series of Stone/O’Keefe operations.

It’s almost as if someone has a vested interest in encouraging distrust and antagonism between the institutions that make America strong.

Nononono… We should put the blame in the #metoo movement! Yeah, lets to that.

perhaps…however, I would find it amazing if O’Queef was intelligent enough or competent enough to pull it off.

Although I’m a twitter nobody something similar happened to me very recently too. I discovered that someone wrote a tweet “disguised” as me but it did not show up in my list of tweets. I only found out because someone replied/liked it which made it visible to me in my notifications. Seemed to be some kind of stealth spoofing. I went to 2-factor security immediately but I have not seen it happen again.

How is it not mandatory policy everywhere that official twitter accounts have 2 factor authentication?

I’m nobody and I have two factor authentication on twitter and every other account that supports it. And I ask for it from every provider who does not currently support 2 factor.

Am I the only one curious as to Cooper’s password? I mean someone was able to guess it so now I’m dying to know what it was.

well at least for me, I’m not very confident 2-factor would have helped since the tweet did not seem to “originate” from my account (no visible outbound evidence of it in my tweet listings). It just seemed to be spoofed as my account somehow.

Or Anderson got deliriously drunk last night.

Let me help you, Anderson and CNN. The proper response was: “While I entirely agree with the Tweet, I make it a personal policy not to make statements like that publicly.”

I blame Kathy Griffin…

Perfection.

Moore thinks he had a right to win. Therefore, he demands a recount. In his mind, America is a theocracy on a horse. How could God fail him?

Well, those guys would step on each others dicks trying to pull a stunt like this…they are not smart enough…
