I do not need to see the contract between Trump and Lewandowski to know that it has one clause that requires Lewandowski to shill for Trump and another that prohibits Lewandowski from saying anything bad about Trump.
It would be quite normal for the severance pay to depend on non-disparagement, even if this werenât Trump.
At a minimum, CNN should not have hired Lewandowski with the Trump campaign owing him money. Trumpâs friend Jeff Zucker is just doing Don a favor.

Unless CNN has seen all active agreements between Lewandowski and any Trump-related organization, and has found nothing in them that would restrict Lewandowskiâs comments about Trump, the âapparentâ existence of a severance arrangement excuses nothing.
Given the Trump record of stiffing people, especially those that donât please him, centralasiaexpat is correct to knock CNN for hiring Lewandowski before severance was paid in full.

You have to concede at least one thing to Lewandowski. He was smart enough to get a job on CNN where he could continue to support Chiselinâ Trump with high visibility.
