“Murder My Sweet”, Raymond Chandler/John Paxton

CNN, can’t you read? The Post and even NYT have blockbusters. In the Scoop sweepstakes, this ain’t cuttin’ it.

Apparently, CNN is getting its stories from Captain Obvious.

Trump in his infinite stupidity has actually confirmed this.

He’s openly stated he thinks it’s ok to ask for a loyalty oath from a FBI director.

He basically admitted to Lester Holt and the Russians that he fired Comey due to the Russian investigation.

Not coincidental that Comey got axed the day after he asked the DAG for more resources.

When considering Trump, I apply a nuanced version of Trump’s Razor that considers all his actions come directly from his severe Narcissistic Personality Disorder (Trump has all nine diagnostic traits). Media, even from the left, miss the boat nearly every time because they look for a grand plan where none exist. The explanation always begins and ends with NPD.

So, how much of Comey’s firing was really about Comey spurning Trump’s advances?

Widdle Donnie survived the military (school) and the Viet Nam (STD) conflict. He intends to triumph over this little issue too.

Edit addition: We could all take some inspiration from Gloria Gaynor, a real survivor.

And this Comey remark during his testimony on the Hill: “makes me nauseous”.

It wouldn’t surprise me if the Trumpire’s Blackstone Lawyer batallion is beating the bushes for some [Brady disclosure][1] violation among all the Russia inquiries.

Never mind that the principle doesn’t apply to these types of proceedings.

Just don’t tell them that Trump’s mutually incompatible statements are quickly adding up to something like perjury. See “Clinton, Bill”.

I’m wondering… would Trump have had to directly order – not ask Comey to back off the Flynn investigation for it to be considered criminal obstruction? The implied meaning of the request was clear to Comey and proved to be an actual threat, because he was later fired for not obliging. However, Trump’s wording was particularly parsed.

Nope. Either is sufficient for a charge of obstruction—which is a felony.
The obstruction doesn’t have to be successful in order for it to be a crime.

I thought I heard on NPR (before it came out that he knew Trump was planning on firing Comey when wrote the memo detailing Comey’s failings) that Rosenstein did not know that more resources had been requested for the Trump transition / Russia investigation - but at this point nothing Rosenstein says IMO can be trusted. I think Rosenstein has taken a loyalty oath, as have all the sycophants around Trump, and he appointed Mueller in the hope that even if he goes down, so will everyone else.
